Jimmy Jacks does a really great feed. Had lunch at Zane Greys on the wharf, had ribs still cold in the middle. Chinese buffet place had rather surly staff. Blue Door right at the end was good. Lot of eating places there.

As A European born Californian I must say, I love NZ more than any country in the World but I dont think come for the food.
