Azuma was my first GXP ship. That was before tier VIII was introduced and it was considered to be the Japanese Alaska. Took me awhile to learn how to play her well but now I bully battleships regularly.

I suppose so. Personally I haven't had that problem very often. Most battleship players can't resist a good broadside shot so if you show off that belt they will go for it more often than not. You can bounce 16s with good angling. The hardest part is picking the right moment to commit to a mid range fight because you don't want to catch that plunging fire at longer ranges.

I got the Friesland last week and I’m enjoying it a lot, one of my fleet mate enjoys carriers (for some reason). The AA on this ship is amazing.

Monarch was my first gxp ship. She is great .my second was Krazny krym I sold azuma also way b4 it got buffed. I highly recommend monarch. I love Massachusetts it was thr most fun ship when it came out good accuracy and secondaries. Great video as always dr ghost

Good list i mostly agree with you but I've put Suzuya on this list her with Atago as the commander is op as hell and if ya don't get killed by a lucky BB hit right off the bat she prints credits and i average about 100k+ damage per game in her. Just my opinion tho I'd personally put 3 of the ships in the vid in my top 5 aswell.

*happy la Foudre(walmart jean bart) noices* i always enjoy seeing a suzuya on the red team because that results more often than not in a dev strike for me. also would switch out friesland for loyang, better sonar, acceptable guns and good torps. more utlity than a dd without torps imo

The Massachusetts is Number 1....i didn't see that coming 🤪 I got the Big Mamie as the Xmas Campaign Ship in Dec, 2020. I had just started playing this game two months prior. I was immediately impressed by it. I would say that up until the Republique debuted as the campaign ship in mid-summer 2022, the Massachusetts was my choice as the best campaign battleship that I've had the pleasure to acquire. It's really the total package. What I'd like to see, unless Dr. Ghost has already done it and I missed it is....his ranking or grading of ALL of the campaign reward ships...It's a lot but I'd like to hear his opinion on them...

I got massa then Atlanta. I love the Benson can't wait for Fletcher and I'm probably gonna go for either Friesland or the US DD for gxp Benson or Kidd I can't remember which one it is. Maybe flandre too

my top 5 picks would be 1. Loyang 2. La foudre (i don't have jean bart but heard there is barely any difference) 3. Massachusetts 4. Monarch 5. Georgia i realize that foudre and georgia isn't gxp but if they ever become available in store i'm always recommending them to my friends. friesland doesn't make the list simply because of the fact that it's a one-trick pony, if it doesn't have anyone to spot then it's not very effective in a fight against anything other than red dd's. sure it has good sonar but so does loyang which has better range, better smoke and fletcher torps. it's wide enough for AP to arm and is rather easily countered by everything in the tier with a few exceptions. it's a fun boat, but that's all it is in my eyes.

I don’t have any GXP ships (I have packed a couple from Santa crates but I’ve never grinded out gxp) and I want the République I’m currently at 400k gxp how tf do i grind gxp faster because at this rate it will take me literally like 4 years to grind it

Well doing well in battle, having gxp boosters on, having premium time, and using premium ships will maximize your earnings. This goes for any currency you're trying to grind. Tier 5,6,7, and 8 premium ships earn the most.

My name used to be GhostlyRocket86. At that time, I was a fan of Dr Disrespect and Dr Lupo. 2 years later, I decided since I had a small YT channel to rename it to Dr Ghost Games. Just sounded better and it came off the top of my head.

You mentioned secondaries on battleships are often usless with a few exceptions. To let everyone know just how underpowered and downplayed they are both the South Dakotas and the Iowas have about 3/4th of an Atlanta strapped to either side of the ship with ten 5in gun broadsides. Imagine 10km secondaries with 140% Atlanta dpm, 70% on each side, plus those nine 16in guns. Yeah, battleships are ridiculously cut back from any semblance of reality in almost every way but espcally their secondaries. Its actully comical how pitifully usless most are even though they're often the same guns cruiers use. Just funny to me that was WG's solution.

@@that_old_roachi5453 No harm done. Maybe if I put it another way? In reality, battleships are vastly more powerful than destroyers and much more powerful than cruiers. In the game they essentially nerf all battleships a huge amount for gameplay purposes but not everyone realizes just how much. Its almost comical how weak battleships are represented in this game, again for game reasons and one way wargaming did it was by making secondaries, a sizable part of their artillery, on most battleships nearly usless although some can be very effective.

@@177SCmaro I feel like they had to to make the games even slightly fair to other ships, otherwise what stopped them from having warspite have the highest range of any battleship and be untouchable at range since she holds the record
