The hobonichi cousin has the absolute best layout I've ever seen for a planner... it's mind blowing... I wish other companies would do something similar... The combination of weekly with daily is perfect...And the 24 hour option is one of a kind - for university students that often pull all nighters, or people who have night shifts, it's just ideal...
Thanks for the thorough reviews - saved me $. HP “broke” their hourly week for 2022 by reducing the hours and increasing the top section. And it seems like all the Etsy sellers are mimicking that instead of keeping the old time range. I wish we lived a 7-7 life but it’s more like a 5:30-10:30. The few weeklies I can find with longer hours either: Stick the open space at the bottom (we need it at the top) Make sat/sun share Move the sidebar to the end of the week (we need it at the left or things get forgotten or left until the weekend) I also really liked the ability to punch and add flyers that come home from school, etc.
Thank you for sharing all the issues you've had with hourly planners. I am not an hourly planner myself so this helps me to see what is important to you!
As a college student I find it hard to find a decent hourly planner.. I'm always caught between either carrying something useful/heavy or light/not as fulfilling. Thanks for this video!
I wish EC would offer different times on their hourly. They're a pretty big company, so I wish they would do like an 8am-9pm option or something like that as well. I know Plum Paper does that, but I love the colors in the EC
@@katevonlackum1598 I think they stopped doing the 18 month planners just bc it's the end of the year. The 18 month would go from July 2021- Dec 2022, but we're almost at the end of 2021. I think they'll bring them back for the next launch
Thanks for your videos and for bringing us all the planners. My favorite timed weekly is the Take-A-Note planner. Hobonichi was too much, but the TAN with its timed daily week on 4 pages worked perfectly for me. I prefer the more portable A5 size and the 68 gsm Tomoe River paper is the perfect compromise between compactness and paper thickness and works well with so many pens and watercolor paint.
I received the KitLife weekly planner today! oh my! It's so light weight! So many things to love about all the changes they've made. So excited to use it since it will be my first time using a vertical layout. I think I'm really going to enjoy it! Thanks, Amanda for another great video. Always, enjoy your top 5 videos.
I went for small passion planner undated weekly. It suits me that the times for from 6am to 11pm as I try and be asleep between 11pm and 6am. It's big enough to write in (I can write small with my fineliner) but not too big that time blocking looks silly or too much. I don't want too much peripheral information like goals, lists, dreams, trackers, but there is the perfect amount of free space and note space in case I decide to use this for a small period of time. I'm trying to make a collection of printable for my thermo printer to stick in as and when needed.
Carrie Elle started a planner (previously just meal planner and notebooks and printable things)...would you do a review of that sometime? It's a vertical. I know their paper is nice (I got a box kit thing from her 2 years ago and it included an undated planner, and I used it for this year). Erin Condren stuff kinda even fits, at least it did with this one. It hooks in well, but it sticks out a little, but I don't mind. Anyway. I love these reviews, even if I don't need one. Gives me more to think about.
Loved it! I am trying to decide whether or not to do another planner this year. I really was disappointed with Passion Planner’s cover options for 2022! Hemlock & Oak might be an option for me, I really liked that one…mostly I think I’d miss the larger box at bottom for lists. Thanks Amanda!
The Hemlock and Oak looks like the planner of my dreams! 😍😍😍 I’ve used Ink and Volt for years, and the H&O looks like it may have an edge. Thanks for sharing!
So happy you did this review, hope you continue this next year!! My favorite hourly weekly is Planner Pads which I think you reviewed a few years ago. It's slim and lightweight, minimal ghosting. I don't always stick with the top down guidelines & like that I can utilize the bucket & list sections in other ways if I choose. Somewhat affordable too although your comparisons always help me to rethink every year about using a different planner for either home or work.
Thank you Kimberly:) I have never reviewed Planner Pad! But I have looked into them...and it looks like a great layout:) Thanks for taking time to chat!
Great video Amanda! I hope you are keeping well. I have been thinking of you and your family this week. Thank you for doing this wonderful review. I really love the look of the Hemlock and Oak planner! I will keep an eye out for it on your IGTV! I really love the forest one in particular!
Hi Helen:) Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts for us. It hasn't been an easy week. But we are making it:) The Hemlock is amazing with the improvements this year:)
I love the layout of the Roterunner Purpose Planner. I haven't seen anything like it! I would love to see something similar to them, but I am also a fan of Passion Planner!
I agree the Hobonichi is amazingly versatile. I can’t get past the paper which I really detest.😂 Also the micro font is not a friendly for my eyes and it gives me headaches. Some of us already wear glasses for a reason. 🤓 I quickly abandoned it several years ago.
Thanks for all your hard work with these planner reviews and commentary. I'm curious though, have you ever used The Happy Planner (any layout) and if you have, what is your opinion on them.
I liked your video! Unfortunately I just haven't found a planner that works for me! I need one that tracks my blood sugar and food intake. Right now I'm using a customer planner that I made using a spreadsheet app!
Ive seen Passionate penny pincher. I will might have reviewed Hopeful a few years back it sounds familiar. But I think it just in an IGTV. thank you for chiming in with those;)
I am sorry:( They sold out really early this year. They will be launching again in September or October...I don't have a date yet. But I will be doing a video and keep you updated on Instagram:)
Off the top of my head Hobonichi and you might check So Typical Me (I have afew reviews on them but not sure if they offer the hourly in the a6. Good luck!
