@@baseballdude8491 exactly. If I need an impact driver to remove lug nuts lol .. Then maybe Flex or M18. But if I have to carry it around and use it all day... Definitely MHPT or Makita.
Did you ever test/review the Panasonic impact driver after ? Had mine 7 years , still blows everything else away , other than replacing a battery or two its been faultless .
i am conflicted on that hercules . that is impressive . can the forge battery bring the gen 4 up to that speed with those screws . i appreciate your using the best batteries the brands offer . also thought that triple hammer would do better on those small diameter screws .
Yeah forge would give more power. The m18 would drive bigger fastners in faster than the Hercules aswell small fasteners go in easy with high rpm but without torque they won't drive bigger ones in as fast
So question, for someone trying to get into power tools, 2 years ago I bought a Skil power cord 20 drill for pretty cheap. After the brushed motor burned up a friend of mine gave me a brushless gen 2 Milwaukee impact driver. I still have a good Skil battery and charger. The Milwaukee was ran hard and put away wet, so the impact driver I was given is losing power. But I have a m18/m12 charger. So is Hercules really that good or should I go with ryobi? I’d just be using tools for around the house, and some weekend work.
If it's just for around the house then either one would be fine. Probably would come down to warranty. I'm guessing the Hercules would be the strongest out of those 2.
I'd go for ridgid over ryobi life time warranty if you follow their guide lines. Tti makes milwaukee rigid and ryobi. I'd personally stay away from ryobi alot more tools available with ridgid than Hercules aswell
the screw gets DULL after a few ins and outs and it loses it's lubricatuion(smooth) coating and gets crusted with wood resin so unless you use a new screw for each gun...the test is UNFAIR.
