I started doing this with a nightmare before christmas set that was in bnm bargains. I bought them for a tenner each and sold them for 20. Not a great profit but I bought 3 so 30quid for me! I still go into bnm and home bargains and pick stuff up now. I am a small seller but I've just picked up some more stuff that seems to be in high demand. I am just now learning how to thrifting and booting. Next stuff is finding out how to get hold of stuff from closed down stores

Really helpful video, as usual! :) I cleared all the good stuff from my local Blockbuster last year, in the end it got to 90% off which was crazy! I remember waiting outside in the rain for them to open for over an hour! Keep up the videos, it really helps watching someone from the UK with such massive knowledge rather than just the US! Have you thought about doing a podcast?

Another question... Don't you ever feel like leaving just a couple of copies if your clearing out a shops stock for a certain game or DVD? I just feel leaving the last couple wont harm your profit too much but still gives others a chance to get a copy of what they want.

Probably yes, but remember everyone else will also be looking so will need to be quick to get anything decent - I expect they will slowly increase the discounts so the real bargains will be towards the end...

What are your thoughts on buying holiday items the day after it ends? ive seen massive deals on halloween things after. christmas is usually 50 to 75 percent off. things of that nature. just a thought!

Nic Hills Poor sweet Monty...all dressed up and nowhere to go! And yes, we have Target and Walmart here. Just need to keep your eyes open to find the extra special deals. You never know when you might find something by pure accident. Right after the various holidays are always good for that, but then one needs to be sure they have the proper storage available to hold the stuff till that holiday rolls around again! I'm so envious of the set up you have there...It is really impressive! :)

Thanks :) You are right about picking up deals after holidays - I just picked up a load of Halloween stock :) We are very happy with where we are right now and enjoy what we do, but we do have some big ideas on the back burner.. ..who knows what the future holds… not me for sure ….

Retail arbitrage is tricky to get right but can be very lucrative if you do - the best way to learn is to jump in and have a go :)

Can't beat a bit of arbitrage! Reminds me of clearing out Heston Blumenthal hidden orange Xmas pud from Waitrose and I've run riot in toys r us a few times albeit I did give a mother an in the night garden toy from the 50 I had in my trolly.

hi nick thank you for a very enjoyable video on EBay Arbitrage you have open my eyes on this topic i am a new subscriber to your channel and yes i did dabble with EBay a few years ago with not much luck i have been out of work for the last 9 months through illness and things have been tough financialy these past months but i feel re motivated with your videos on EBay selling i am from the west midlands and i feel inspired and regenerated to get back on that horse and start buying and listing again on this platform thanks again nick for telling it as it is. Thank you Nic , i really want to start selling my own clothes as I have a lot designer brands , I have been working for luxury brands since I was 17 now 31 I have accumulated a lot and i am overwhelmed to the point that I donate clothes with tags.. yeah I have an addiction most people in UK shop for hobby Lol. I have decided to start reselling on ebay but can only list 30 items per month I got millions hahaha .. Thank you very much I watch your videos for days straight you have inspired me x

Hi Claudia, wow! sounds like selling on ebay is a great idea for you!! Try contacting ebay to see if you can get your account limits raised. They are quite flexible and will often help out if you call them :) i wish you the best of luck with selling off your clothes :)

God I wish I had discovered reselling years ago! It's only recently I found out about all this but I guess somehow it had never occurred to me. I did do well selling a few items like dvd collections and books for profit which I bought dirt cheap from charity shops. But a few charity shops are getting wise to this. So now I'm trying to source items from retailers, shops and supermarkets.

"Arbitrage - Finance. the simultaneous purchase and sale of the same securities, commodities, or foreign exchange in different markets to profit from unequal prices." Simultaneous means at precisely the same time. If you buy it here to list and sell there, it's not arbitrage. True arbitrage is listing what you find on Amazon, for example on eBay. When it sells on eBay, you drop ship it to your buyer. It's not a wise business model unless you had a way to keep track of all those Amazon products, their prices, and their availability 24/7, and could maintain your eBay listings based on that. But anyone who has half a brain on their shoulders checks both Amazon and eBay before buying anything, anyway.
