Nice video again Beau, nice to hear and see which packs you like to use, and why. And nice to see that these are about the same packs that I like to use myself. Anyhow, see you at your next video, and for now grts from the Netherlands 🙃
Glad to see all the Crystal Daggers love! It's such an underrated expansion; it sounds like the best parts of the early 10's in terms of pop and R&B, while simultaneously nailing the future bass of the late 10's, as well as some other unique genres from that era. Very versatile and inspires me all the time, and it's fun to listen to the kits themselves too! It was an interesting surprise to find that it's actually inspired by Glass Swords, from Rustie (the name similarity makes it clear though).
Did any of these get bumped off your list of 9 since you made this vid? If so, which of your more recent additions would make the list? I just got trill rays...and although I don't make jungle I think Rhythm Source looks like the most insta-fun! Just watched your young phantom demo and that sounds great too. Ugh, they all do!! But those are standouts to me so far. And my maschine hasn't even arrived yet! Just want to hit the ground running. Thanks for the awesome content!
For sure. It’s been an amazing year for Maschine expansions. I’d say that off the top of my head Concrete Sun, Free Form, Young Phantom, and Satin Looks have definitely made the list. I can’t remember if Burnt Hues was after this video, but if it was then it’d absolutely be on the list. I have videos on all of those if you wanna check them out. I’ll be doing a new top 10 come January :)
Fire video! Thanks for taking the time to do this for the community! I am about to pull the trigger on some expansions and really wanted to hear what they sound like outside of the demo-songs NI has. I do have a question outside of expansions: Right now I have a Maschine Mikro (old version) and i'm seeing almost everyone use the Maschine MK3...Do you think it's worth the upgrade? And have you had any experience with comparing the two? I'm a new beatmaker so I don't want to spend a too much on professional level tools if im just starting out. Any advice from you is greatly appreciated, your style of music is great and seems to favor sounds I enjoy as well! Thanks again for the great videos!
Yo. Thanks so much! I’ve owned all the mikros and I can tell you they’re great but nowhere near the MK3. Personally I’d say to go for it if the money is no biggie. :)
You know your stuff. Your said Rez! That album was fire. The producers Snipe Young and MSX Audio have made my favorites kits. Now if you said Esthero I would have blown a gasket.
I think we might have the exact same taste in music. And it’s nice to find a fellow Res fan because I was all alone on that island among friends when she first came out. ❤️
Yo. Check out my video about global perform fx. The thumbnail says something about SP404 styled effects. Then as well check out the viceo I released just about a week ago about glitch fx. Those two will show you everything :)
