Nice episode...good fried chicken is few and far between...my money is on Lee's...you mentioned the longevity of that franchise, but the history with the Sander's nephew Lee in that has roots my guess in what they putting out...first hay cut here in Rabbit Hash then Sunday church and a classic car show tomorrow in Petersburg....little store has a new operator and catching on

I haven't been to the Mellwood Tavern or the Chicken House in New Albany St. Joe area joint and we think a lot alike - good review Went to Cottage Inn back as a teenager in the 70's and as well up until my Father passed in 2001 and I haven't been since then (one of his favs). BTW, the Lee's on East Pages/Valley Station Rd is fabulous too and I got some livers last night and their Chicken pot pie as well as everything is fabulous 👌 Great review brother 👍

Hey yo big Barry, awesome video brother. If I had to pick one of the 6 you showed. I will say the "Chicken House" would be my choice. I trust those good ol boys like the national treasure. However every single one looked remarkable.
The wife has always mentioned it. So i took her there a few weeks back. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes to start. Took home a great slice of cake for 2 bucks as well. It was enjoyable. I plan on going back and trying the livers.
I REALLY like Lee's bbq chicken sammie. Cheap and flavorful. Love the review. My next go to is indi for the keel. Nobody has keels anymore. Wanna try that mac and wedges too. Baked apples for dessert mmm.
Barry: At CM Chicken that was probably not "Chipotle " sauce but more likely Korean gochujang sauce. Just an FYI and I'd pay good money to watch you eat the Street Food in South Korea, it is truly you have to see it to believe it. Great vlog.

Joella's has gone downhill and doesn't offer full pieces of chicken anymore mostly tenders which is disappointing and the service has suffered considerably.
Captains quarters was best I've had here- but its very limited availability. Cm is ok, I live right down the st. Mellwood is best on this list, but I never had indys yet. The eagle is good as well-
@@goodallscountrykitchen I haven't tried it yet- it looked good in the video though! I live in crescent Hill, so I get Lee's occasionally as well. Captians on river rd is the best I've had yet, but it's a special not always available.
