i love how you concentrate mostly on brown girls and you are the only one who does that so i am super happy about that + i enjoy watching your videos. just a simple req, if you have already done a video on this just ignore my comment, contouring, esp for brown girls .lol its so hard to choose the right shade (at least for me it is), so if you could do a video on some brands and how to do it, it be awesome! This was a really helpful video, its so hard to find a good 'nude' that suits darker skin, I've kinda noticed though that for me that most colours that make a good blusher, also suit me more or less as lipstick in that colour

Maybe you already know, but, you should try the MAC Cremesheen Glass, they definitely don't have that hideous sticky texture. I'm NC43 and i have the shade "Richer, Lusher" And I think it'll look good on you!

I bought Mocha and Cosmo today at Mac. I love the colours but I will have to 'de-pigment' my lips for the colour to work and get a darker lipliner too.

I have similar skin gone as you. I like the Mac Creme in your coffee, Mac Verve and Mac Touch lipsticks with the Mac Hover lip liner. I line and fill my lips with the lip liner (makes the lipstick last way longer) and then apply the lipstick. These colors are perfect nudes and work for our skin tone.

I want to try Cosmo but I suspect that many of us with pigmented lips feel a bit "bald" in what are called nude colors. To us they aren't nude at all since our true "nude" lips are pigmented. Mine are purple-ish, for example so the beige that would match my skin just looks freakin' weird and jarring. Actually colors with a bit of coral come off as more of a neutralizing tint on me. Kind of like the salmon shades that neutralize dark circles under ones eyes.

ughh i know exactly the issue you are talking about! I think for you, the best option would be to test these lipsticks in person at the counter. I would not suggest that you buy these upfront and then end up hating them in the end, you know?

I've been using Mocha for a while now and I can never wear it without a brown/nude-pink liner, because it looks washed-out otherwise. I guess I'll try out Cosmo.

Great video ! We have the exact taste in lip colors except I like a nude lip sometimes. viva glam ii and even Twig by Mac mixed with a mac lipliner like whirl or spice is really pretty. I love the Ample pink plush glass on you & want to try it out. I tried Mocka as you recommended in another vid but it looked More orange on me. I can't wait to try Cosmo and Hover! ;)

I tried out cosmo in the store and it looked way lighter than in the video. I wonder if they have changed the colour recently or something coz im lighter than u and it still washed me out but urs looks so good on ur skintone.

Hi Arshia!! I bought mocha from your recommendation and I love to colour!! The only issue is that it sinks into my fine lines like crazy and it's hideous. I went to the Mac store and was told to buy the prep and prime lip primer but it isn't helping at all! Is there anything you think I should try? I just want to wear it so badly :(. The most useful video on nudes for brown skin I have come across! Excellent work. I'm definitely going to try Hover, Mocha and Cosmo :) 'Sultry Pink' by Colorbar is quite close to Cosmo. PS - You have gorgeous big eyes! Can you help me with a query, please? I'm stuck between wanting to get Cosmo or Fast Play! They look so similar to each other and they have the same finish…any thoughts on which one is 'better?'

I have fast play and have pretty similar skin tone as hers and based on cosmo swatched on her lips, fast play is a hint darker than cosmo. I wouldn't consider fast play as a nude, it's a mauvy pink-ish brown (kinda like a kylie jenner lip color) cosmo seems to be a little more pinker and lighter than fast play. If you want a more everyday nude color (although cosmo is not nude nude) than i would suggest you to get cosmo. Sorry if i wasn't to clear but hope it helped :)
