I totally agree that you need to do bold eye looks with a neutral lip. Multitasking is my favorite way to make progress!! Great tips all around!

100%! I used to wear bold lips and light eyes and I never ever hit pan on a shadow, then I started switching it around and that’s when I started panning eyeshadows properly. I could go through a red lipstick in a month before though, so I guess it depends on what you want to focus on haha 😊 thank you Jessica! You’re one of the OG eyeshadow panning queens so it means a lot

I love the last tips! It's definitely something I never thought of and I feel that could really help me with some shades that have been stuck in my projects for so long! I really enjoyed this video, because even though I knew most "tips", it definitely helps to hear someone saying that they worked for them, it gives me a bit more hope for next year, having this been my first year of panning!

I have fewer than 200 pans of eyeshadow in my entire collection (it's still a lot, I know), and I've been using the same palettes almost daily for the last 3 years. I've never hit pan on a single eyeshadow, ever, and I realise that it's because I literally do the opposite of everything you said in your video haha. I'll continue to be incredibly light-handed with my brush and evenly using every palette I own, while enjoying watching everyone else reach their pan goals :)

I think it does really make a difference! I used to wear eyeshadows like that to - only having maybe 100-200 pans in my collection and using the same palettes daily - but I also did the opposite of what I do now, and I only had a handful of pans and I never even saw any dips 😊 I think the way I wear eyeshadow now definitely isn’t for everyone, it didn’t use to be for me either. But that’s what’s nice - we all use our makeup in different ways 😍

I totally agree with the using dense brushes. I like using a dense eyebrow brush as a liner brush to pan darker more pigmented matte eyeshadows and I go through them faster. And I realize it also depends on the formula cuz some might be denser. Like for the darkest shade in my elf mad for matte, it’s taken me a long time to hit pan. I really love these informative videos. 💕

It does really make such a huge difference 😊 yes! Formula also makes a HUGE difference, but I didn’t really cover formulas in this video, because with for example Pan Those Eyeshadows, you don’t always choose the formula 😄💕

my tip would be to use clean eye brushes every time you do your makeup, especially if you use the same brushes for the same shades everyday. You'd be surprised how much more eyeshadow you need

YES! I can't tell you how many times I was in a rush and used left-over shadow on a brush for my eye look!!

Definitely! I have a colour switch and need to use that if I use the same brush back to back, but with different shades. Because otherwise there’s way too much of the old shimmer on the brush 😅 but using the colour switch works great to “clean” my brushes between uses

I loved this. I found the video overlays really helpful. I didn't realise mixing the two opposite colours. I might try it with untamed too.❤

Thank you! I really tried with them as I figured, for example with the brushes, everyone probably considers different brushes dense 😊 I’m glad my tip helped! ❤️

Thank you so much! I don’t feel like I’m very good at tutorials but I might try and do some at one point 😊

The tip for mixing colours is definitely something I need if I have a blue in my collection that isn't for me. Since I have so many oranges, I'll be mixing all day long! Thanks Take care....Very pretty eye look

It has helped so much in my own panning, especially with all the randomised shades I get in projects 😊 hope it helped! Thank you!

i always cut off the blending side of the abh brushes because it's too scratchy and then use the packing brush on its own because it's a great one😂

I’m legit thinking of doing that after watching this! I thought I was just too delicate 😆
@sofiealexandrahearts
@sofiealexandrahearts 2 года назад
That’s a great idea, I do like having it there for if I’m on the go and need a all in one brush, but I mainly use the brushes for the packing brush 😄

Thanks for sharing your tipps, i hope a lot of people find them useful. Personally i would feel like i would waste a lot of shadow If I pack and pack simply for the sake of panning. I have just restarted my personal pan those eyeshadows but I dont do RU-vid and Instagram. However you are a big motivator for me.

I thought the same thing! I feel like wasting eyeshadow just to hit pan doesn't make sense and that way the usage does't reflect how long it actually takes to hit pan on an eyeshadow.
@sofiealexandrahearts
@sofiealexandrahearts 2 года назад
I don’t think it’s wasting eyeshadows. I compare it to for example some people who want to wear lipsticks dabbed out, almost blotted, and other want full on bold payoff (light use vs packed on) or how some people only wear for example lipstick instead of lip liner, lipstick and gloss (wearing more eyeshadows in a look). I think it all comes down to preference, and I never meant for it to be digging and having so much eyeshadow on your brush that you get fallout everywhere and therefore wasting your eyeshadows. Hope that makes sense 😊

I use eyeshadow in my brows as well. One time I used a purple shimmer in my brows and I thought it was the perfect colour. 😂😳 I have medium brown eyebrows. I think I did go to work like this and really thought nothing of it.

I heard that shimmer shades actually work great in the brows, but I haven’t tried it myself yet! Perhaps I won’t go for a purple shimmer though 🙈
