How nicely akanksha and joshua explained in details about their foods. I really like especially akanksha. nd after seeing her explaning in details about bihari cuisine i would really like to taste it. Here sonali was rather only interested in eating nd was getting possessive each nd everytime when akshay was commenting something about the food. Being northeast i really didnt liked her attitude and her food too nothing special. only pork pork nd pork. I Remember how akshay had enjoyed a simple daal of bihari's cuisine.

Happy to learn about this culture. I lived in India for a while but never learned anything about Nagaland or Assam . It is Great that OK Tasted is making videos to educate people. One more thing, the food looks so much like the Korean cuisine. You got pork intestine, rice drink, some leaves for wrap meat and some chutney as side dishes.

I don’t think of her to be “dominating” like most of the comments here say. I think she is just assertive. And everyone’s hospitality is different. She showed hers by making Akshay try a wide range of dishes and asking him to figure out the difference. The two seemed to have fun together!

This was such a train-wreck of an interview, its hilarious. Quite clear that Akshay didn't really enjoy almost 90% of the things on the table but was trying to be a complete gentleman/kiss-ass(Sonali is his boss after all). What really got me was that Akshay was almost wrong about everything thing he had to say about the food and Sonali sure did let him have it everytime he put his foot in his mouth

Honestly i really love sonali..but here she was a bit annoying to mee...i got it that u know much more about this..but its also his 1st time so let him enjoy his 1st try..dnt put ur taste opinion on him..let him assume then taste then let him talk about his things and most importantly let him enjoy the taste and the feeling...just bcz u like it that way doesn't mean he has to like it exact the same way...though i loved it..loved ur knowledge about naga food..best of luck and keep it up... Also try Bengali dishes..its also good and some of them are spicy and some of them r sweet...do try..😊

I thought Sonali is Assamese, not Naga? Btw, Assamese and Nagamese language are pretty much similar. Her attitude in most of the episode are kind of dominating which i think people from nagaland are completely opposite to that....

Sonali was not imposing or bossy..usually we Assamese ppl (me being one), we truly get excited about our NE food & genuinely want everyone to enjoy as it is very unlike other Indian cuisines. We also understand that it needs a different taste bud to enjoy these dishes and we try very hard to make the other person understand & feel comfortable with the food. We seriously get emotional when it comes to food & BTW Sonali was right in saying that all NE ppl do not eat spicy food all the time & instead it’s most bland & simple. And I can guarantee Akshay had loved atleast a few dishes coz Naga food is too awesome to be hated.

Rice beer is a stable naga cuisine outside nagaland equivalent of mango lassi outside india. What i mean is in reality we nagas never drink rice beer when we have meal . Similarly mainland indians dont drink mango lassi with their meals. I think they drink chaas more

Akshay, when you don't like something you can say. We northeast people don't take offense because our cuisine is not for everyone. I call BS that he liked everything on that table. I could see it on his face, that he was faking it for the camera. We take offense when people fake it.

Naga food is tasty but Akshay is definitely not enjoying not for the taste but for the hotness. It takes an acquired taste. Just like I needed an acquired taste for Kadhi Chawal or Sambar but once you have it, it gets over you and you would love to have it over and over. Trust me, go and have dry fish chutney in a North east Deli and you will love it. Just keep a mouth freshener as it's dry fish and lots and lots of onion and garlic in the dish.
