This trip was a first of many things for me! First time going to Colorado! First time at a ski resort & first time seeing people ski. First time riding on a gondala. First time driving through a blizzard! First time being in 30 inches of snow! First time seeing giant icicles. First time seeing an avalanche. First time seeing icicles on cars. First time walking around with snow flying down so fast. And I got it all on video to share with ya'll this awesome day of so many firsts!! This is probably one of my favorite videos so far!

The joy of different seasons is amazing. You have experienced a sheltered life. It's ok to open up to the joy of snow and ice. It's beautiful. Add some winter gear to your wardrobe - dance in all the beauty that is mother nature!!

husband speaking - Sarah, so nice of your friend to do the driving for you. Can you imagine taking that drive at night? It was hard enough to see the road during the day. I went thru the Royal George on my motor cycle around 1972, out of the service and college and way before I got married. Really beautiful country summer and winter.

I love the sound of the crunch walking on freshly fallen snow in the morning. It is beautiful to look at while it is falling but when it's going away is when it's very ugly a mush pit.

P S I had to watch this video 3 times I drives these roads with snow all the time. Yes some times you pucker up but if you know what your doing no problem. It is exaltation you gain a sense of appreciation of life.Sarah is so funny 😂 just a new fear to over come love ❤️ this woman she can do this.

I wish you had introduced us to your friend who brought you up into the high country of CO. It truly is beautiful there. You’ll have to have him bring you back in the summer. It was fun to see you experience so much snow. For some of us it’s a way of life….I agree with you on not liking the cold!♥️🌀♥️

I do not do cold weather well either!! Great idea though…..going to steal that idea!! Gorgeous area!! New experiences are always exciting! You will remember this forever! Isn’t it cool!! Scary but cool!! Your so funny…….but the view is gorgeous!! Hot tub!! Wow!! Embrace the experience Sarah!! Fun to see your reaction!! lol I lived in Georgia for three years and we got 1-3 inches of snow. The locals did not do well with it. I live in SW Ohio and when it snows I'm in it! lol Colorado in the snow would be a dream come true!

I'm happy to see that you have experienced this snowy weather. I have been to Denver Colorado and Utah to go camping. Don't have fear of the snow. Good Old Common Sense will take you a long way when you are dealing with the snow and icy cold weather. I'm happy to see that you have had a full-fledged experience while you are at Telluride. A few years back my niece and I toured an old mine shaft up in the Colorado Rockies. I thought that was pretty cool. One thing that I did learn while I was in the mountains, you don't drink more than two beers or you'll have a buzz real quick. I hope this brought you many enjoyable memories of your trip to Colorado!

The most snow I've ever seen at one place was Rocky Mountain Park visitor center. They has cleared the parking lot and provided a small opening to get inside. The snow was deeper than the entire building, at least 20 feet high. That was early June.

pure is mother nature wearing a white gown indeed....skating and playing hockey on a frozen lake is life in canada....lots of thrills and chills to be had...nothing like the majestic outdoors....the look on your face says it all....enjoy....cheers!!

Wow Sarah that snow and ice was epic , in the UK when we get snow it usually turns to a slushy mess after a few hours. I bet you had the heater cranked, stay safe in the snow. From the around the 11 min point onwards it was like a scene from the Shining especially with the music!!!

A must do is the "million dollar hwy" from Telluride go North or NorthEast towards Ridgeway, then head south into Ouray and Silverton, then continue south to Durango and Pagosa Hot Springs. Ouray is amazing. Enjoy!

Sarah, After this MOAB is going to seem like nothing:) Summertime is beautiful there. In 1968 I started up a 4 wheel drive only mountain road to Telluride in my VW Beatle. I got about a 100 yards up the very narrow road with high cliffs on the right and big slopes downward on the left. My car vapor locked and stalled in the high altitude. I had to back down using my brake and eventually was back on the main pavement. I got out and kissed the ground. Years later back in New Jersey I met a fellow from that area and told him my story. He said I was lucky because you had to go over big rocks and ford streams so the stall probably saved my life or something they Cheers, Rik Spector.

Very cool ! My first winter here, Purgatory Ski area, just over the hill from Tride, it snowed 600 inches, level, from Christmas till spring. 1971 . It was epic. A few years ago we had 320 inches. Best in a long while.

Welcome to just another small wondrous part of the country. Love that you are having so many firsts. The best at a ski resort like that is after a full day of skiing, getting into a sauna until you are almost overheated then going out and rolling in the snow. About five cycles of that and every muscle in your body is ready to go again the next day.

Beautiful, I used to live in Colorado Springs, I been skiing there, circle track racing, 1/4 mile track... i was stationed there at Fort Carson in the Army. It can snow a inch each hour their, it can get 70 mph winds, but it is serene, the water up in mountains is completely pure and cold. But it is dangerous in mountains, cold, snow . I love snow its beautiful blanket, and the flakes are so peaceful. In colorado in winter EVERYONES lawn is the same, you cant outdo one another ha ha

Miss Wandering Jeepsy, you look good in snow. But I feel the same way about snow, It's nice to visit, But I wouldn't want to live there(I'm in the Palm Springs area). And even though I haven't skied since I moved out here from the LA area, I still plan to. If you get a chance, try it, but make sure you take a lesson. And once you learn how, it's pretty fun. You look like the move to Utah is wearing good on you. It's nice to see you smile more. And talking more. You have a pleasant voice. Congrats.

Did you get to see the town? Lots of neat places there. I've flown my hang glider high over Telluride and landed in the base ball diamond. Haven't been there since 1988. I'd like to know if the "Fly Me To The Moon" bar is still open. And I have a hang gliding friend who is a DJ on the radio there. His name is Luigi.

That’s my town. Im in Wichita for flight instruction. Visit the Coffee Cowboy and the Butch and Baker in town. Up in Mountain Village there are great places to eat. Make sure you take the Gondola up to San Sophia station. Enjoy your time. Come back in the warmer months. We have music and are festivals all year. You’ll love it there.

Lol I caught a rare picture of light anomalies off property that turned out to be the original Pet Cemetery and not the one they advertise now. It outlines animals in lights. It’s actually very cool! 🐾 👻

Sarah welcome to Colorado. Hope you enjoy your time here. You know sweetie the mountains are beautiful but that's not the only thing about Colorado. We do have the Eastern Plains of Colorado to even though they're flat doesn't mean there's something worth seeing. There is things to do in the Eastern Plains as well in the mountains. So hopefully you get around the whole state this beautiful state of Colorado. Good luck on your travels and always nice to see the beauty of things through your eyes. I was raised in the desert but live where I get a little snow now. The seasons in the desert can be a subtle change. In snow country there is no mistaking the change of seasons. I like a little variety in my weather. I think with good snow gear you will like the snow more. Just take it slow when you’re driving and you’ll be fine. Let’s go snowboarding sometime. I’ve never snowboarded but want to give it a go.

Telluride is so beautiful! You should go around to Ouray this summer and take the Jeep road up to the top of Imogene Pass and over the mountain to Telluride. You can only go one direction. I don't think they allow anyone to go from Telluride up to the top. It is amazing!

I’m not sure if it run in winter but the Durango Silverton railroad runs down in the canyon. It’s open air so it’s chilly but the scenery is beautiful.

You poor sweet Georgia Girl! Hahaha! I have lived in Indiana most of my life and am just about done with snow, so I get it! I keep telling everybody I am going to head to South Padre Island Texas and get a job on a shrimp boat. Hasn't happened yet but closer to doing it every year! I will save you a camper spot! Hahaha!
