Great story! If you’re ever back in DC, I’d love to buy you a cup of coffee and chat a bit. I live a little over an hour outside DC. I was at the museum once when it first opened but sadly haven’t been back recently. I’ll have to make another trip soon. Thanks for these great videos!

Awesome story! Mark and his bible design blog got me into premium bibles back in 2004 and I had the pleasure of spending the day at the Huntington Library in Southern California with he and his wife Lori back in the summer of 2017. Imho the best pinnacle of bible publishing was the late 90's Nelson's and early 2000 Lockmans, (I've had all the early Era Allans and then the Schuylers) and own the original 'Judge' a rebind done by Peter Geraty at Praxis.

I'm glad to see your enthusiasm (which you always show, so yay, YOU!), and it has helped me shift my attitude toward the Museum of the Bible. After watching this, I did a Google search and was happy to see that in the past few years they have apparently returned thousands of the stolen artifacts with which they began, AND that Hobby Lobby has not only ALSO returned thousands of stolen artifacts but has ALSO apparently paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines for their previous criminal activities toward supplying stolen artifacts for this museum. I'll still never spend a penny in a Hobby Lobby because of their past actions. They even admitted to knowing that the money they were paying for artifacts, which they knew at the time were stolen, was going to fund ISIS activities, but since it was for the Museum of the Bible, they justified it internally. I was glad to learn about returns and reparations, because this was a very big deal to me.

Yes, I think they've taken appropriate steps to make up for the mistakes that were made early on.

Good morning Tim, I know this is question is kinda tied to this video in a way. Do you have some idea as to when Allan will be releasing new Bibles as in the Long primer 53 and maybe what colors or color schemes that they would be using? I own a used 62 petrol blue, which I think is the most beautiful Bible out there. The Longprimer script is clean and easy to read for an old guy like me. I enjoy your videos very much. They are packed with useful information and are presented quite well thanks for all you do.
