Just vise grip to airline off and get on down to the repair shop give yourself a little extra space and stay the hell away from the state scales cuz I'm going to tell you how the hell you think they're going to tow that trailer they're going to hook up to it and tow it with a tow truck. with no freaking air bag on it come on man😮😮 yeah I got some Maxi cans in my truck for my tractor I got diaphragms I got fittings I got lights I got everything you can think of except for a brake drum and a set of shoes I used to carry the spare tire, tire irons and a bead hammer. I think it all depends on where you're running at cuz you really can run the tire out to the nearest truck stop unless it's a steer tire in the trash the rim up in 20 ft. Oh yeah I vice griped off the airlines on the maxi can once and run it 30-40 miles into a terminal . . I'm an owner operator safety gave me the eye roll for that one, the manager bought me dinner and thank me for not calling a wrecker a week later they gave me an extra hundred on that load . I guess that was for setting up on my ass at the terminal while they fix the brakes.

I learned to drive at 13 years old in 1974 with the help of my Parents on country dirt roads and large hills and valleys, but I am awestruck every time I see you backing up and parking. As much driving experience that I have, if I tried to park like you trucker's do, I would crash into everything. I truly respect the professionalism that you driver's show all the time.

Personally I’d have taken it to the shop but that’s me. Personally I carry shutoff valves on my truck and other things to get me out of a bind I won’t sit at a shipper or receiver or on the side of the road. Now you’re the captain of your own ship so you have to make your own call. For me I’m keeping it moving. You however made the right call for you. That stupid shifter stalk is a reoccurring problem with these new peterbilts. It’s no money over at JB just dealt with the whole on boarding process and what they told me their drivers are averaging a week I couldn’t work with but every drivers needs/wants/ experience are different if it works for you great but for me it was a no go

Any shop mechanic could have fixed that air bag in an hour right where the truck broke down . Prime INC needs better dispatchers that know how to answer the drivers questions correctly .

I did a mastronardi load from Laredo to Jonestown PA with a tomato load with no airbags.... TA couldn't fix it I was told to run with it... Tomatoes look like tomato juice when I got there😂

Primes safety dept is a joke. When I was there I tried talking to them about goe my dispatcher was planning me and how they’d push me to drive over my hours. Safety basically said if he’s planning me they prob know better than what I do, and they have commitments to customers so if I have to drive over my hours it’s just something I’ll have to do
Yes freight has picked up. I been getting replans before I unload. I had to turned down some because not an enough hrs. Friday safety meeting said freight is picking up and we got some new customers
Hopefully the driver sees this. Don't go to custom critical unless you live in the midwest. You will be fighting for loads and have loads cancel on you all the time. You will not make the money they tell you that you will make. Be very cautious about them.
Prime is supposed to be a safety driven company. That phone call I overheard I would consider a safety issue and I hope the safety department will address this issue, but I doubt it. Stay safe
People within a company, all work together. In your case, you hang the phone on someone, that means you hung the phone on everyone within the company. Once they see you differently, in short that means your time with that company is up - but the only one that doesn’t know it is you. It will take a bit of time for you to realize it but it will come. Mark my words!
No way should you drive that truck and trailer with that air bag problem! That guy that told you to drive it should be fired! Id make some one in that company aware of him telling you to drive that way broken bag no air in your other 3 bags. Take photos broken parts.
Your doing it the Taxes wrong though, you want the highest taxes but for the lowest price so if your paying double taxes but it is 15 cents more then NY in PA you want to fill up everything in PA, cause regardless of what you pay for fuel, you have to pay those taxes at the end of the year regardless! You have to pay for every mile your loaded invoice has per state so if you get low fuel tax fuel then your going to have to pay even more rather then getting high fuel tax fuel at a lower or a little more then you might get money back instead of paying in! O a tip the high fuel tax state usually have cheaper fuel at the state line cause they have to compete with the other state with a lower fuel tax.
