How much were you running on the stock rods? if it was 500+hp and you were running it for years on stock rods thats a dub bro. Sucks the engine's down, but it did every thing you could ask of it. You got this main. Drop another k24 in there and get it done.

You put money into the car and have everyway to feel that way. Keep the car and swap another K24 or maybe a K20/24 hybrid motor. The 9th gen is the last NA Civic and well sought after. I remember blowing a 5speed R18 a few years back and it was used. Come ti find out the syncros were bad and it was my first stick so my confidence went down because i thought i did it. I got a new transmission and clutch then sold it. I currently own a RR ‘12 FG4 and want to supercharger because i always see and hear people blowing their motors with turbo making crazy power. More expensive, but worth it i just have to becareful and keep power reliable because this is my daily too 😂😭.

k20 swap it bro from an 8th gen si! those motor’s have loads of potential but keep it in the 400’s because thats still a very good amount of power and it can still be daily-able.

Dang if you think about how long your car lasted with a boost making 500hp with stock internals shows me how reliable these motors are. Obv that doesn’t change the fact that it blew but think how long he’s had his civic boosted for from what I remember I think a whole year or two and now it blew with a stock motor that’s crazy.

Keep your head up bro, I’m in the same boat I have an boosted 8th Gen and my cars been down since Oct, literally took my swap out my 4 door that I had for 6 yrs and put it in my coupe worked hard to get it where it was and enjoyed it till something went wrong and I don’t know if I should fix it or part it out and get something else, I’m just taking a break from it for now till I finally decide what I’m going to do with it next month, look forward to what’s next 🤙🏾

I think you can build these engines so they won’t get a type S oil pump and u had fuel pump build the internals! Have too Retainers and valve Springs

I think you should get another K24Z7, build up the internals a little bit, keep the turbo set up. I feel like the hard part with the turbo setup and everything is still there so might as well continue along that path.
