What are your thoughts on people riding mountain bike tires on their Gravel bike. for this race? Have you reduced your bar width in the past for years based on latest trends for aerodynamics? If so what width are your riding? Have a great race!!! Looks like cooler temps for tomorrow.
It's kinda funny how your bike is the complete opposite of Dylan Johnson's. Yours is an extremely traditional gravel bike while his is a nerdy oddball rig specced off of wind tunnel and rolling resistance data
I picked up mine a couple hours ago and it looks the same as his. You might be referring to the notch at the top near the computer? That's perforated and comes off.
Surprised you couldn't get your hands on the upcoming 303 XPLR wheels! Also, why are you so against aero bars, but are cool with riding in 'puppy paws'?
@@kenhunt I'm aware, but I believe it was sold as a safety rule, but we're totally cool with allowing 'puppy paws' which is far less safe than even aero bars.....
@@coryrood I understand what you mean now. Good question. Obviously I can't speak for Ted but my guess would be that it's easy for one to overuse the aero bars and find themselves in a bad spot easier. But maybe more think twice about the relaxed position you're referring to and only use it sparingly.
I've had those tires. Never have I crashed so often when running them. Now on the Pathfinder. What's this? No crashes? Amazing what a little knob on the side will do.
