I put off making this CNC Generals Zero Hour all unit tier list for ages and that's because it's a difficult one to make. For example, a worker can't beat an Overlord in a 1v1 but you also cannot win a game as GLA without a worker. Most units have a use in Zero Hour, sometimes specifically and sometimes good against most things but everything can be countered in some way. However, there are a few units where you can spam them alone and still get the win - these ones I classed as S tier. But a single vee which might be in category S still might get owned by 2 vanilla china migs with napalm. However, I still class the vee as a higher tier. Personally, bring all base infantry, ranger*, red guard and vanilla rebel 1 down cuz apart from captures they are kinda weak, tox rebels stay in A Tier. Then move all rocket troopers to that A+ Tier simply because all forms are garrison is OP in generals because of their existence Microwave as well, down 1, same reasoning as you gave with the bombtruck To add to your A+ tier and go with alphas I would put, Outposts, ambulance, ecm, buggies, Jarmen, nuke migs, these are mostly what round out a midgame composition but cant really solo a game Great list, my comment is just my sole opinion tho ggwppp❤

I was curious if you had more of an explanation about crusaders and scorps, I've never seen them in any competitive game ever except generals evo. Also I highly recommend taking into regard the factions general gameplan and weaknesses, IE is this factions missile troop better then another factions since the faction it belongs to lacks cheap anti air or anti tank for example. Also would you eventually make unit guides? they might be really really helpful in a format similar to XYCs (with your own style oc)

Based off how you've set your rules for listing this I'd agree. But I think that the list your working with needs to be changed otherwise everyone's going to disagree. So if another faction turns a unit into basically a whole other ball game (Like Nuke Battlemasters or Stealth Commanches) it needs a separate image icon so you can put the two different units in different categories. Stealth commanches would probably be A but Vanilla Commanches would probably be B. If there are differences but not different enough (e.g. a Tox scorpion isn't that much of an upgrade to deserve a separate consideration) then just assume that it is the strongest variant with all its upgrades. (So when considering stealth fighters, you'd consider it from a USA airforce perspective with bunker busters and flares, for Scorps you'd have to balance the Demo and Tox variants with their respective upgrades). Keep S tier as "Are OP" or "Can spam and win a game" like you have already, A tier as "Solid, can never go wrong but probably wont win you a game in itself" so a Tox Scorpion is solid and if you only spam Tox Scorps you'll cause your opponent problems but it won't win games against component players B tier as "Good situationally, definitely has its uses, definitely see them often but without support not helpful. You see them mixed in to army's not the bulk" So like ambulances, etc. C tier as "Very niche. Once in a blue moon, at the right time, can change a match but it's rare", so like bomb trucks, saboteurs etc Useless and then the auxiliary as you've done If you really wanted to get into you could rank them left-right within the tier but you'd be there for hours. Anyway all this is just my own opinion for a tier list. Good content I know it's not your usual but it's fun to see the variety every now and then and it engages the community so banging work and keep it up. Love the channel

I don’t know Domi. Maybe you should have listed them according to their price/impact performance. Some units are really punching above their weight. Half the game in A just seems so wrong.

My considerations for a tier list like this: 1) How often is the unit made? 2) How good is the unit compared to its cost? 3) What is the power ceiling (upgrades etc) of the unit?

You mentioned how you can load Humvees with missile defenders, but I recommend also adding one or even two pathfinders into the mix. That makes the Humvee so, SO overpowered for dealing with infantry. Btw, you know the game is fucking great when it's so hard to choose what unit is the best

Kinda underwhelming for how reqested this was, like no way an alpha aurora is the same tier as a microwave tank or a toxin tractor, the critera that only s tier if you can win the game by it is kinda not the best, you gotta judge it depends on how many units or types of units this unit can take out, so gats would be lower and an alpha would be higher for example

Fair point. Alpha could go in top tier, but then it goes against my personal rule of spamming only one unit to win the game. An Aurora needs vees, missile defenders, a lot of time to get to that stage, EMPs etc sure when you finally got it, it’s great. But it cannot kill a player 3 min into a match like an infantry helix for example. But if i took away that rule, then sure its top tier

You can win vs USA, laser, Swg, air force with raps alone (sometimes). You can win 2v2 3v3 4v4 by going raps alone. In fact it’s usually better to just go raps in team games whilst mate supports.

I've put some thought into a tier list of my own and made one for fun. I reckon the top tiers are dominated by USA and GLA units if we will be honest especially if you add more tiers for more granularity in ranking the units. Overall I think the spammability criteria is too harsh, some units are solid S because of their huge impact and low cost despite not being spammable. Like pathfinder belongs to S, obviously they can't win you the game but at $600 they are just so strong and totally shut down infantry for a complete bargain. And alphas are S tier, sure you can die before getting them online but they win far more games than they lose, especially at lower levels and especially outside of 1v1

Situational again because without a scan, button and jarmen won’t see each other. Both are good as one is killing buildings, one is sniping expensive vehicles. Hard to categorise. All great.

I would've ranked the dozers, not taking into account how they 1v1 each other or how you can't play without them, but just ranking them amongst themselves. Meaning, which of them is "more meta" or "stronger" taking into account cost and abilities. For example, if you where to build a perfect army, what construction unit would you choose without them being tied to building only their nations buildings

I think if there is any patch to balance the game, you shouldn't be able to build drones on humvees only battle drones and hell fire drones. They distract too much of the fire and they are good against stealth units. This way humvees will be more vulnerable to demo traps and stealth units and distracting the fire will require bulidng the more expensive battle or hellfire drone.

@DoMiNaToR3 all around usefulness. Vanilla raptor usually only used to pick off the occasional buggy. C tier. Comanche more versatile and usable. B tier. Stealth Comanche? S tier with King Raptor.

You should have split A tier into A and B and made the old B tier into C. A china vanilla infantry in the same tier as an alpha Arora is not great.

Way too many units are placed in A tier. Can easily split up the list into S, A, B, C, D, and F tiers. Keeping a separate list for auxiliary units is understandable but I do think it is possible to rank them in one shape or form. Per example, the fact that GLA workers are $200 and can collect as well as build structures puts them far ahead of China & American Dozers. Additionally, GLA can sell their command center and still have a far less chance of being dozer hunted than the other nations as they can continue to build workers through the supply stash. This should easily put them ahead on such a list if auxiliary units were included. As per unit rankings - I would not place the following units in the same tier level as one another per example (for starters): Scud Launchers > Nuke Cannon (Scud Launcher can fire much faster, cheaper, and is not nearly as buggy as the nuke cannon; the disparity is even larger with Demo Scuds vs Nuke Cannons) Rocket Buggy > Tomahawk Launchers (Rocket buggies play a much larger role in GLA vs GLA and GLA vs American match ups, while Tomahawks are a niche unit in nearly all match ups.) Emperor > Overlord (Emperors are cheaper and come with a free speaker tower, overlords cost more, and are weaker from that bat) Flame Tank > Toxin Tractor (Toxin Tractors while cheaper are crap versus buildings, while flame tanks are building and army wreckers and play a critical role in China vs GLA match-ups.) Last but not least, the list should likely distinguish nuke battle master, nuke overlord, assault trooper crawlers, assault outposts, assault helixes, and demo Jarmen from their standard counter parts. Might also be worth distinguishing Kwai and Fai's veteran units over their non veteran counter parts as the promotion does for some units such as the gatling tank make a pretty significant difference in match ups.

Ngl I feel like some units can't be grouped together, makes the list feel incomplete. Nuke MiGs, for example. They're lategame, but the split-fire can shred armies better than a targeted firestorm. Stealth Comanches, even as an upgrade, need their own spot, as how often are you building Comanches outside of AFG? Expensive and generally useless due to low HP pool and the fact that Quad/GT can destroy them effortlessly. Nuke Battlemasters have brilliant eco harrassment early game and the explosion post-death can be situationally abused. Tank BMs have Auto-Loaders while ChinaV doesn't, so they can't be compared. Demo Rebels are better than VRebels due to demo ability (even as an upgrade AND support power). Demo Jarmen is also valuable for the C4 and Timers. Sure they aren't listed as separate units in game, but their differences are too great to ignore. Maybe using Shockwave Icons for units might help to differentiate them in that aspect, but there ARE differences, be it cost, upgrade options, availability (not all USA get Avenger at base, I think AFG requires Strat).

Personally think technicals are the most pointless vehicles in the game (for me). Doesn't do much damage, uses up a generals point and I don't really do rushes so why bother 🙈 ye I get that people love to harass and load up with bombers but if you don't kill the enemy in first five min tech will not be used rest of the game 🤷 you used up a G-point to cause minor inconvenience. Id rather save it. Later in the game a bigger ambush for demo or more bounty or anthrax or even marauder tanks are far more useful. Just my opinion

Air Raptors should be $1200 to $1400 & combat chinook is a bit over powered - maybe $300 more !! I know I keep banging on about a balancing patch however , I have just watched your commentary on the three sets of 13 or whatever that excel and vivid played 1v1 starting 10k and it really is a marvel and a masterpiece of the strategy involved in the game and the only way such players can reach a higher level of overall gameplay is to both iron out all the bugs , and then balance the factions ! It could be so easy too , just add neutron mines to china as a 3 star command point just , something so simple could possibly make China vanilla able to hold its own against air in the late game … make mines $400 or bunkers $250 or speaker tower $250 , Gatling cannon $1050 !! Furthermore , I am glad that you have been explaining about bank charges because , at some point I am going to donate to the community but the first thing that comes to mind is whether you guys like Alfie , excel etc , guys that do pro 1v1 commentaries do you accept PayPal friends and family payments or another payment system where the bank is going to take 9% just to exchange to US dollars etc etc etc - like , I just can’t stomach all the charges involved in international markets and platforms such as twitch !! The best system I know is PayPal friends and family or straight bank to bank transfer !! Yet , no doubt most of the world want winnings in US dollars … yeah , so I appreciate you talking about fees when donating because , there will be a lot of people like me who want to donate at some point but , they haven’t got the time to study it all and they ain’t losing 30 to 40 % to currency exchange rates and platform fees !!

I would say tunnel network is automatically an S tier. GLA are nothing without it.

Honestly I think its pretty well balanced. But china V follows behind. Jack of all trades, but master of none. And Tank general is also situational. Good at early game, snowballing from there but tank general is expensive. In team games he is also good but in a regular 1v1 he will lose to every other general.

Just a thought, I would have referred to their strength based on their cost effectiveness as well, some of the units are extremely strong but based on how much you spend (fully loaded V, Upgraded overlord)

i demand a redo. this time , rank the units based more on their respective use and role , just like you said you can't compare hammers & screwdrivers. so compare hammers with hammers and screwdrivers with screwdrivers. as an example a china dozer and a usa dozer would probably be a b tier and the GLA worker could be an a tier because it's cheaper and can be made in two buildings.

You should have units with the same name but different functions (eg nuke overlords and chinav overlords) split into different units. Also I would put Scud Launchers in B tier since they're quite situational and require a gen point. Also by your own logic nuke and tank battlemasters should be A tier since nuke and tank battlemasters are used all the time. You seem to have put battlemasters in B tier only because of Chinav. Otherwise solid list. Now do one for upgrades/abilities/promotions!

I think they should be compared by type of unit. For example, best to worse plane, tank, infantry, heroes, light tanks, support, helicopter, builder, supply and so on.

On general's points, I don't see why stuff like the Marauder or Paladin is not available for non-tank armies like SuperWeapon/AirForce or Stealth. If it costs an entire GP, dont you think it'd diversify the tactics at large?

Ra2 was made with rock, paper, siccors concept (westwood confirmed this) Generals follows suit but maybe a bit better. So nothing is S. Everything has a counter

I think the best decision would be just to remove it from the game. USA doesn’t need another unit that find stealth. Unless you were to redesign the entire game, you can remove vees from air force and make sentry drones a bit stronger and cheaper

@@DoMiNaToR3 Well drones can also stealth when they sit still, so they can be used for scouting. I can see a scenario in very large maps where they would be useful, but it would be very situational. Maybe in a balance patch keep them stealth when they move and/or increase their visibility range and I think they would be used more as scouting units, and then their gun upgrade can kill workers, deny oils etc.

this list, or at least your arguments, don't make much sense ... you say "can you spam this unit and win the game?" ... you can also spam unarmed units and win the game because most unarmed vehicles have a dummy weapon which does 0.1 dmg so you can also spam them and win the game given enough time and resources ... so what does "spam and win the game?" even mean in this context? according to your own logic every unit should be S Tier then ... I don't get it

Are you really talking about the 0.1dmg fake gun and being S tier? Haha! I can make 2 war factories as USA and make only tow vees with mix of hell fire and drones and win the game in 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 against certain factions. I can also make loaded vees and wreck nearly every unit on entire list. So for example that’s why vees are on top.

Yes, Generals has a sending module. Its slower then normals downloading but it works. Once send you both should restart the game.

Personally, I don't think S tier should only be reserved for "one type of units spam". I think it should also contain units with game changing mechanics or crazy quirks. Inferno cannon, terrorist, nuke overlord, alpha aurora, dragon tank, Jarmen Kell, rocket buggy, and Super Lotus kinda deserve to be in S tier.

F tier tierlist. You literally put everything in the same category, except for obvious OP/broken units and workers. It makes 0 sense, that's not how tierlists work, you just shoved everything in the same tier. Buggys are built EVERY game there's a Palace, but according to you they are the same category as every other artillery, including Tomahawks? IDK watch your channel and try to find at least 5 replays with Tomahawks built and actually did something? You're gonna have to scroll your replays for maybe a year back. It's ludicrous. According to this tierlist Troop Crawler, Flamer and Paladin are also relatively same power level. According to this EVERY infantry unit is the same power level. Even Red Guards. The only unit that can capture a building but is still so bad that people actually used to skip them to build Lotus without spending 1300 on one pair of those and the capture upgrade. According to you this unit is better than Nuke Battlemasters and just as useful as any rocket soldier of any faction. Toxin tractors are built in one out of maybe 3 games, and they're not even good for what they're supposed to do, half of the time they get sniped before they reach the building. According to you this joke of a unit is relatively equal to Outpost or Battle bus or Pathfinder. This looks more like 'screw you guys, stop annoying me with this tierlist requests'.

Domi, i dont think this tier list is that helpful. There are far too many vehicles in A tier. They need to be spread out more. In my opinion humvees are far higher then quads. Humvees are early/mid and late game. Toxin tractors are not same tier as dragon tanks etc etc
