Hi! My mum and boyfriend both stayed to help me unpack and I saw LOADS of parents in my flat at the time. I think everyone's helped unpack so that is extremely normal! And honestly tears when they leave are so common. I definitely had a few tears but I quickly texted a flatmate and went into her room to distract myself! There is so much going on and so many nice people to meet that hopefully you will be distracted and if not, remember your parents are only a call away!
