While I do believe that Rep. Crockett had every right to defend herself, I also believe that there are better ways to do it that help restore decorum to the House of Representatives. Getting down with the lowest of the low has never proven to be a recipe for success for Black people. Rep. Crockett is brilliant and a true wordsmith and I hope she will use her platform like Rep. Maxine Waters to be strong, vocal, and elevate the energy in her space. I also don't think it's cool to bring in the "butch" stereotype not so much as it relates to Marjorie Taylor Greene, but to the negativity that many women experience who are labeled as "Butch." #rolandmartin #rolandmartinunfiltered

At UMD, he also worked with the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Teaching Diverse Students Initiative.” He worked for four years as the lead Teaching Assistant to Dr. Michael Eric Dyson at Georgetown University. He provides leadership, educational and diversity empowerment as a consultant and motivational speaker for organizations, associations and institutions.He has featured/lectured nationwide in venues from TEDx and Harvard to Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit and the Nuyorican Poets Café.
