Thanks so much for this Jae! we're a super small anim team doing alot of unique motion, so your setups and workflows ideas are helping us immensely! Quick question tho--saw you were using the manus gloves in combo to suit capture in past vids--are you bailing on the gloves for a different tech now? we've invested in the gloves and wondered if you still feel they're best approach for hand capture.

Is there any alternative ways to do good facial mocap with an Intel T265 camera ? Or any other type of camera jerry rigged to a helmet? That helmet is out of budget like everything else at the moment. But I gotta start somewhere.

Oh this was really interesting! Would love to know why you go with xsens instead of perception neuron 3...your review of perception neuron was so good I am thinking about going that route (i use iclone) but now am hesitating.

Awesome! Couple of questions are you able to livelink everything directly into UE? Also the xsen all the trackers are on the body right? It doesn't require any external marker / sensors?

you can use vive if you want to in conjunction with the xsens

@@Jsfilmz when funds are right , I want to use the vive trackers for budget reasons. Hopefully I can get some decent to good mocap stuff done. Hopefully it's not a waste of money going that route.

Thanks for sharing your setup. Just curious if you can make a result comparison between the D2 and P1 helmet. Would be great if there's a way to make the D2 helmet wireless? I'm interested to know 1. How do you capture the audio and facial capture together? 2. How do you synchronize the audio and facial capture data 3. What tools do you use and How do you manage the performance take per shot? @@Jsfilmz technically it shouldn't, D2 only captures 30fps, P1 does 60fps Aside from wireless, I'd like to see a comparison of the results between the 2

great setup! so with OBS you are only recording the data, not to avatary software? you load it later?

Note: I don't mean this in a mean way. I only hope to give some constructive criticism. This is from my point of view as someone who is really interested and trying to learn as much as I can about game design. Personally, I really dislike how all of your videos are overviews. It's coming across like you just don't have the time or you just don't care about making quality RU-vid videos. Maybe it's the algorithm only recommending these videos of yours but your videos continue to frustrate me.
