The Good Bad Mother. Best of all time and I'm not lying. It has literally everything. It made me shed tears but the bonding between everyone! I never thought I would need something like this but this heals your inner child ever so softly I can't explain!! Please watch everyone!
our tastes are so similar like the dramas i have watched because of you?? loved them all!!. btw i would love to see your favorites per genres and would ALSO enjoy watching your fav Chinese dramas!! i watched meet yourself bc of you, so good
WOW! You are great! I am so glad I found you. I will be saving this to watch all your recommendations. I only discovered kdramas this year and I have gone deep into the genre. I started with Alchemy of Souls which I had to watch several times the scenery and photography was amazing.
I also loved the sound track of business proposal. The folk duo of melomance really came up with the song well. Whenever i would hear the piano sound on the romantic scenes I would go like sheeesh melomance guys did great with the lyrics and piano which made the romantic scenes look good
I was so sad to not see Vincenzo on here 😭 but I love your list!! I’ve been meaning to watch youth of May for so long when I’m ready for a good cry and this did it for me LOL
Actually the moon lovers wa based on chinese novel. I actually loved one of its sound tracks callled say yes. I always keep tat song on repeat always on my spotify
Ahh yes I know ab the original version! Although I admit I haven’t actually watched much of it. The say yes soundtrack is so iconic and brings back memories for sure :)
Our taste in kdramas is quite similar. If you like Jung Hae In then try Something in the rain, if you liked My liberation notes (my all time favourite) don't miss My mister (from the same writer)...although you might have seen them..
Those are my favorite but majority uncommon My mister 2521 Summer strike It’s ok that’s love Because it’s my first life Reply 1988 Flower of evil Chicago typewriter Doctor John Life on mars Romance is a bonus book Healer Moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo Www Welcome to waikiki Pretty Noona who buys me a food My liberation notes City hunter Itaewon class 18 again Our blues Soul mechanic Kill me heal me Innocent man Fight for my way
My Liberation Notes was a huge disappointment for me. I was expecting a lot because it has the same writer as My Mister (easily one of my all time top 5 kdramas). But it was an extremely slow paced depressing story about lonely depressed people who take forever to become slightly less lonely and depressed. While some of the dialogue was very well written, profound, and thought provoking, those scenes were greatly outnumbered by constant very long takes in which no one says anything and nothing happens. It didn't help that I took an immediate dislike to the brother and ended up fast forwarding through all his scenes just to be able to get through the thing. I was more sympathetic to the sister who is the main character and that helped keep the show from being a complete waste of time
Interesting take! I do think the show is more of an acquired one, and the slow pacing is more because it’s a slice of life drama meant to show the character’s lives and not necessarily be filled with scenes that tell a more predictable storyline. I ended up loving the brother’s character because of his development and how his storyline was wrapped up at the end. I can understand other opinions on him though! Overall I think the show had a lot of good messages about “being liberated” and what that meant for each of the characters + what it can mean for us personally watching the drama.
@@jinyangjourneys The show does have a good message that comes through very clearly. I guess my problem was more with the execution of how they went about presenting that message. It didn't help that I had trouble identifying with any of the characters, even the ones that didn't get on my nerves so much. I have liked other slice of life shows better where I could at least either identify with or find something to admire in the main characters. I watched this show at the same time as I was watching Summer Strike, which is also a slice of life series with a very similar message. I enjoyed that one much more because it not only moved a little faster, but mainly because I liked the characters much more.
Just to add that my favorite kdramas so far this year (or that came out in my region this year as both Netflix and Disney+ tend to delay in offering us many shows), have been: 1. My Perfect Stranger 2. The Glory 3. See You in My 19th Life They've only just started showing Moving here, but based on the first few episodes, that could jump on to the list. But only the first of these would make my all time Top 10, which also includes My Mister, Squid Game, Mr. Sunshine, My Name, Flower of Evil, Extracurricular, All Of Us Are Dead, Vagabond, and 2521 (the fact that almost none of these are primarily romances tells you something about my tastes).
