It's all about quality, in every aspect of our lives...the feel of the brushed steel of a pen, or the sensation of top grade leather. I'm an English boy who went to a Comprehensive school.. I love football and I love ballet, I make no distinction between high and low culture, for me it's all about quality in our acts, deeds and choices. Life is short...we may as well get it right.

Yes sir, you are right. Its easy to carry, lightfully in the pocket, or like you in a good bag, just in the first listen you can hear the difference, how good reproduces the FLAC files at 24 bits, awesome. Actually iam using Audeze iSine10, the planar magnetic tech is really surprising, the voices sounds better and the mids are powerfull, iam reallly happy with those one and how good can the player move it. I never tried Hifiman but have a good reputation, iam sure that are great. Greetings

How strange, my Wife and I returned from our 26th wedding anniversary trip to Paris this week and I purchased three of the same 9cm Juniper wood Laguiole knives. One for me and the other two for my adult sons as a souvenir from our trip. It's good to know that I have the same taste as the Urban Gentry! Enjoy the videos, keep up the great work.

New subscriber and new to the hobby. Out of all the "Watch Channels" I enjoy your presentations the most. Traveled the world with the Navy for 30 years and always admired the watches I would see while overseas. Could never justify the cost on a Sailor' pay. Long story short I recently experienced a death of a friend who was only 47 and was always talking about all the money he was saving and things he was going to do in his later years with his money. The day after I found out about his death I took money out of my savings and bought a new Rolex Submariner with date from a local Rolex dealer. It's everything I thought it would be. Thanks to you I have recently bought a Seiko SKX007. Keep up the good work.

Smart move droping the old knife for the laguiole. This has much more class, has the shepard's cross, unique bee spring, way classy Tristano. I own several, one is Damascus steel with ancient Thuya burrowed wood. Unreal craftsmanship. I have one of their cork screws as well. A true gentlemen's pocket knife. Kudos on your re-vamped EDC!

Be careful when purchasing a Laguiole, there are only a few genuine importers of this knife brand. Alot of knock of fakes come from India & China.

For your flashlight look up the Olight i3s eos cu. they make it in a matte brass version. It’s a lot brighter than the streamlight around 100 lumens at the brightest. Has 3 light modes. I do Gear testing for them and I definitely stand behind their flashlights. Anyways great vid. Take care.

Little late to this party but streamlight now makes a USB rechargable version of the microstream now. Multi mode (hi & low) No gold colour but it is available in black, red, & blue. I believe MSRP is right around $30. I carry the same one you do, have for many years now. It's is, how to put it, well worn. Yours looks brand new compared to mine.

you can take a look at Thomson tactical belts: US made, pure hadcrafted by an indivicual craftsman and the quality is superb. Also the price is very fair, lessen then some of the "fashion" belts cost. Its Gun belts primarily, for concealed carry, but the quality was so good that people demanded "normal" belts as well so he started making them, too.

I've been a watch collector for a couple years now and I find that The Urban Gentry channel is amazing not only to the great watch content that you present us with but also due to these type of videos. My father has had lots of Parkers in the past and still carries one with him to this day. In his honor and incited by this video I've bought my first Jotter today. Keep up the absolutely great work and best of luck to the future. Best regards.

I first read about Laguiole in a short story by Hemingway. I bought a Laguiole waiters knife (with corkscrew) about twenty years ago. The corkscrew broke in a synthetic cork, last year, so I bought two replacements from France. As for pens, being of German heritage, I am partial to Rotring. Thanks for an enjoyable video!

I would highly recommend the Maglite solitaire. 50 lm LED. Occasionally you can find one in gold at Walmart. (Although I think on the Maglite website it is officially listed as orange) Only $10 too. I carry the black one every day. Phenomenal little light. I think every once in a while the company releases a special edition yellow gold version. Probably do pop up on eBay from time to time.

If you're looking for a new flashlight look at the lumintop AAA tool in Titanium. It is my favorite but they also have brass or copper to get that gold look you're looking for. Pluss they are even smaller and have three intensity levels. Pretty affordable as well.

An edc flashlight suggestion would be DQG Tiny AA. A really tiny AA battery flashlight that is smaller than your AAA Streamlight. A bit more money but it is brighter and has longer run time, plus it comes in brass :))

I've been running the brass Maratac peanut light on my keychain and it's been doing wonders. It comes in around 125 lumens and uses a rechargable battery. They also have a slightly larger size that has somewhere around 250 lumens. The lights are tiny, so I'd definitely recommend them for EDC

If you're after a little flashier yet still affordable torch in a gold tone have a look on mass drop. They run brass and copper AAA lights by a company called lumintop and they work wonderfully. After all just like vintage watches for fountain pen and boots have been around for quiet a few centuries and just like vintage watches they are still around and shall always remain in fashion..cant go wrong with both.

Lovely options for edc. Never have tried those Sennheisers earphones but I own a pair of Sennheiser on ear headphones and they are one of the best sounding headphones I have tried. As a headphone/earphone fan I can tell you there are a lot of incredible options for earphones at low prices, and I mean less than $10 with amazing sound. The pair I mostly recommend is the Panasonic RPHJE120A, they come in a variety of colors and cost from 8 to $9.99. The sound is well balanced, mids are excellent for every kind of music and highs are not piercing like many earphones, however bass isn't very strong. But for that price you can't complain. Other good options come from a Chinese company (don't start to cringe lol) that makes great earphones with decent quality and sound. It's called KZ (along with its spinoff QKZ) and they have a plethora of earphones available, currently I have two models, the ZN1 and the ED2 plus I had two more in the past that I gave away. The sound of them is really well balanced, mids are very good depending on the music and for being earphones they have great bass. All them have cost me less than $10 bucks from direct chinese pages like Ali and others and have been heavily used without any problems. Hope this helps some of you that want great stuff on your ears without breaking the bank!

TGV I own a small keychain flashlight. I looked online and they are very inexpensive. I purchased one at harbor freight tools for a buck and surprisingly it's come out very hand...who would have thought...

Get a Maglite Solitaire flashlight. It's not gold, but you can get a stainless steel one, that looks minimal and elegant.

The Zero Tolerance 0450 in Titanium is my “gentleman’s knife” it’s a flipper and frame-lock so it’s kind of tactical but the silver finish, simple aesthetics, thin profile, and slender 3 1/4” blade give it a pretty good gentleman’s vibe though. The “Grip” is a great blade though, and I’m really digging the French knife, I like Opinels but I’d never heard of this brand.

It's not gold toned but the BLF 348 seems to be right up your alley for a new flashlight. Anyone who has dabbled in the wonderful world of high end flashlights knows Surefire and Streamlight are brands you'll generally want to avoid.

I love your list! I do wonder why you aren't a fountain pen man. I find them to have a similar je ne sais quoi as mechanical watches. They have a wonderfully interesting history dating back a thousand years.

You should look at the Lumitop Tool TI for your new torch.

Hello TUG, if you like great quality "knife", you can buy a 84mm Victorinox with buffalo faces or other luxuries faces and it's possible to personnalise (only command on the factory -> rare). The Victorinox 84mm is authorised to wear in 175 countries -> if you research it's easy to find the list. Laguiole's are great but not so easy to "justify" the carry in our Times, the blade still a little bit "agressive". Sorry for my english, i'm french speaking... ☺ Bye.

Great EDC! I’m sure I’ll copy one or the other thing ;) Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos without ever asking for anything - unlike most other youtubers... No clue how you do it. Watching your videos always lightens up my days (especially my lunch breaks haha)! Keep up the great work; all the best from good old Germany
