The Enchantment Dresser from Anthropologie has been haunting my dreams all year. It’s totally outside of my usual design preferences and I’ve never created anything like it but I had to give it a try. With some ReDesign with Prima moulds, a little paper clay and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I created my own version of this dreamy dresser on a cute French Provincial piece. Beautiful, but the 2 part liquid resin would've been a less tedious mess. I would've liked to have seen color to this piece. All white was too blinding. The "textured" paint wasn't pleasing to the eyes, not too mine anyways. I would've painted smooth and again, with a pop of color SOMEWHERE. Otherwise beautiful piece, beautiful work.

This is more my style! Thank you🙏 I put my paint brushes in a baggies too! Sometimes I forget to put it in the fridge and it seems to still last! I use it on my regular brushes too in between washings! Thank you for sharing! I need to use these clay molds!

2:19 I used to use this... but could NOT handle the smell... I had a Furniture Refinishing Show back in the 70s... did mostly Antiques... but now I "Flip" RVs... (on my 25th one).. I found that if I use Walmart Exterior House Paint (for indoor or out door) and on wood... EVERYTHING... that is is a great primer!!!! I have used it for over 30 years (just bought 3 more gallons today)... It is amazing... Seriously... that is all I ever use... I make money on it!!!

BIN is stinky but it’s the only primer that I trust to block wood tannins from bleeding through. Walmart doesn’t sell paint here 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@salvagedbykscott The Walmart Exterior Paint will do the same thing... I have even covered BLACK paint before... but I respect your decision on your choice... When I had my Furniture Stripping and Refinishing Shop I used that too... Your work is Beautiful... Thank you again for sharing your great videos.

Oh my gosh, this is just beautiful!!!! In a houseful of boys, I don’t think about doing pretty details like this, but wow! I’m totally doing this on my dresser in my bedroom!! Just gorgeous, feminine and stunning! And thx for the tip about the sealer in a spray can! I don’t have a sprayer so I was wondering how to seal!

Hmmm...the style of the dresser was already feminine to begin with so I can’t imagine it done up for a guy...but I’ve seen some cool gear moulds that could be used for an industrial vibe on a more masculine piece.

OMG! I LOVE this! I saw Christina’s from Pretty Distressed video and she mentioned your version, so just watched yours. I love the Redesign with Prima molds and always use Amazing Cast resin, but definitely want to try the Creative Paper Clay. Insanely beautiful!! I want it so badly!! I have an old dresser bedroom set from my grandmother that in that I don’t use the wash stand at present. I don’t consider it french provincial but it does have similar lines as this little dresser. I might try to play around with it and see if I can make this magic happen!! Oh.So.Lovely! Ageless.

This very dainty version of the heavily decorated piece is beautiful!!! I use lot of appliqués and I agree that paper clay is great! So is DAP which can be unfolded and allowed to partially dried then trimmed without loosing any details. I live your videos. You answer questions before I can ask!! Thank You!!

BTW When you see these posts from Edwin Pollock it is Svea Pollock. I RU-vid on this phone as it has a much bigger screen. I know comments help you in the algorithm so usually make them for my favorite channels but you actually give advice which is so appreciated. You are just the best! The picture of you in the intro where you are looking over you shoulder and smiling is my favorite (you smile with your eyes and your whole face lights up) but the one where it looks like you are screaming with frustration; I can relate.

Very attractive piece. 💥💥💥💥I’d say this is a modern interpretation, too. The tone on tone takes the floral embellishment down a couple of notches, and now it’s about the whole piece and not the gilded or painted (traditionally) floral relief.

Binging on your videos + excited to see this! I have a cedar lined dresser almost exactly like this (top 2 drawers are faux, as they are a chest accessible from the top) as well as a taller, less decorated dresser in need of a good redo. They would look great as a duo. Love your more simplistic application of the paper clay as the original is over the top, imo. Thanks so much for straying from your usual.
