I lived in Helsinki center for a while. I shopped in the same store as ex-PM, and absolutely none cared. You saw people you have seen on tv, long time politicians, celebrities in tram or a subway. No one cared.
I don't remember who it was, but some big star from some foreign rock band said that Helsinki is the only city where celebrities can walk on the street and go to a pub for having a beer like any ordinary person.
🙋🏼♀️🇫🇮🍁🍂🌅 Hello, Chico! Thank you once again for a great video and content! Jup, you're right. Here in Finland we're pretty good at being content with an 'ordinary' life. A basic feeling of security and trust is what underlies this. The small and insignificant things in life often turn out to be the ones that really matter. We do lean more toward the philosophy and common sense of 'the old wise and humble man or woman than toward the trends of the current younger generation, which seems to lack substance and depth. But who knows. There are some young people still, who surprise us by being wiser than their years. Of course, there are always people who are in a bad place and who let it show. But I'm not talking about them here. To take each day as it comes is a sensible philosophy. I appreciate your philosophical stance. You're wise beyond your years. Keep it up. I hope that you can enjoy the "ruska" that's brightening up the shortening autumn days here in Helsinki!
Taigu Ryokan Too Lazy To Be Ambitious Too lazy to be ambitious, I let the world take care of itself. Ten days' worth of rice in my bag; a bundle of twigs by the fireplace. Why chatter about delusion and enlightenment? Listening to the night rain on my roof, I sit comfortably, with both legs stretched out.
