Wow! I just discovered Dark Academia a month ago, I have to say that from my youth days this is the style I always loved. I was always branded the weird kid because I loved dark rooms. My dream studio is based on the Sherlock Holmes studio, which I hope to replicate in the very near future, once I move to a country house. I loved your style and just subscribed to your channel. Ahaha oui c'est une édition que l'on demande souvent, c'est un système d'abonnement chez RBA collection romans Eternels. Tu as 3 livres pour 9€ je crois et après ça passe à 2 livres pour 20€ (je crois je ne m'en souviens plus). J'ai stoppé l'abonnement à 7 livres car après les couvertures sont les mêmes ✨
I think overall the space is beautiful and embraces the eternal and never out of style of "academia" and classic, but housing 19th century clothing in the room ruins it, in my opinion. You do not live in the late 18th to early 19th century, you live in the early 21 century. Clothing from 100 to 200 years ago is - well, what does that have to do with anything? Do you wear a corset? Do you wear no underpants? Do you tote around 50 pounds of excess fabric to try and look "stylish" in the 1890 way? Come on. Dump the cosmetics and clothing, go with the classic style of great furniture and comfort.
For me, this space (which is now not my space anymore, since I no longer live there), is the definition of "great furniture and comfort". I don't understand your connection between this decorating video and wearing a corset, that's not the subject of this video... I live in the 21st century, indeed that's why we see a nice Ikea desk, and a computer probably built in questionable ways. The clothes are also very modern eh, the dresses that we see come from our time, luckily you haven't seen my collection of antique clothes. And yes I live in the 21st century, but if I want to recreate a 19th century space I do it, if I want to live in medieval times or prehistory I do it. And yes sometimes I wear corsets, yes I wear split panties, yes I wear crinolines and "50 layers of clothing" because it's history, and I like it. Don't watch my other videos, you will probably be shocked. Good continuation in the 21st century :D !!
