I have just renewed my driver's license and was also surprised, LTO is fast as long as you've got complete requirements unlike before. The only thing is the plastic IDs are not available and they don't have a definite date for release😂.
Before, even with complete documents driver’s license renewal in the Philippines will take 2 to 5 days compare to USA or Canada in 30 minutes 😝😝. It’s good if today it can be done in the Philippines for hours and that would be the improvement!!
I completely agree with your assessment, Nelly, about theLTO in the Philippines. An efficient government organization indeed. Even the online renewal of vehicle registration at LTO is splendid. What more can I say - PH has indeed improved a great deal.
I feel the seemingly easy process of getting government documents nowadays is because of your camera and social media exposure it’s not that easy for others.

Not sure ph driver's license is accepted overseas but you can convert it to international DL at Automotive Assoc of the Phils for P2,400 valid for 1 year

I'm surprised that was quick. Perhaps LTO knows that you're a blogger and it scares them how bad they would look if things did not look efficient or make you go through hoops to get things done.

Good for you if it really is just 1 month before you get your PVC License Card, Nelly. Mine is almost 7 months now and still waiting. hehehe. No PVC Cards available yet. A lot in back logs still, even from way back May of last year 2023. Well, that's how it is in the Philippines. You gotta hold on to your temporary paper License, which is still valid, but it really still feels different with the PVC Card. hehehe
Nelly did the LTO renew your Driver's License for 10 years validity also? If you don't have any violation(s) they will give you the 10 years validity after renewing...more travels to go, (whispering) still very gorgeous and pretty 😎
just had mine renewed 2 months ago. it was so simple. even the yearly registration is no big deal. overreacting to stereotypical characterizations is a losing streak turning simple matters into huge problems.
It’s not surprising with regards to plastic driver’s license. It’s always common to run out of plastic, I don’t know why? I’m still waiting for my plastic DL. I renewed mine last year before I left and I’m hoping to get the plastic after one year when I go back next week. ‘
I know how it feels to get driver license in ph. I got my extension recently and it wasn’t sa hard as when I first got it. I don’t really drive there when I’m there, it’s just to have it because I’m a dual citizen. That ramen shop looks so good. What is the name and where is the location. Nelly, is it possible to have a meet and greet. I’m planning to visit again to celebrate new year there. I keep hoping I will bump into but not so lucky yet.
