He does help alot I've came long long ways since watching this a few months back and he's right stay positive tho keep working it does get easier haha belive it or not
They really dont help you at all. My first day besides orientation was so weird. I went in to the same place I had orientation to find the girl who talked us through the booklet, and made us sign the "no serving alcohol to minors" agreement. And I just said "hey, I don't know where I should be" She took me to a a team lead, who took me to a random employee stocking an isle and just told her to show me the ropes. At that point I understood most of the stocking stuff. Put the stuff on the shelf, if it doesn't fit put it on top, if it still doesn't fit try to make room by top stocking, if it doesn't fit after that put everything back into the box and mark it as overstock (I'm on day 3 and still have no idea what to do with overstock. no one explains shit.) After that, we went on break. After break I again had no clue where to go. So I just walked around looking for the team lead to ask her what to do next. She took me to someone else stocking an isle and I did that for the rest of the day. Day 2 I again went to the orientation room and asked someone where I should be. They took me to another team lead. That team lead took me to an isle to top stock everything. And I wasn't sure if I was supposed to keep moving down the isles, or just do that one. So I just kept going. She said she'd check up on me, but never came back lol. And then I went to find her again so she could show me something else to do. I helped set up a display, and then just went with someone else (who was also new) to stock more shelves. And we kinda stuck together the rest of the day. If we finished something we'd just go back to the backroom and look for someone else to tell us where to go. And now tomorrow I start my first shift in overnight. And I still don't really know much. I know how to stock stuff.. but if there's more to the job I am not aware of if yet, because no one has told me ANYTHING.
Great video Danny !! Manager sounds like a trouble maker to me !! You're to good for that anyway ! You're a hard worker and it shows ...there loss !!!!!
I’m sitting here on my break on my first day. I’ve been doing pets. Heavy heavy shit. My arms are shaking a little from all the lifting hahaha. I like that there are no customers though and I’m not bothered
The secret to Pets is to take the whole pallets down the aisle and move the pallets close to each heavy dog section and stock them. Always making sure you are close to them. Then it won’t seem to heavy.
More Walmart stories. I just started with them. It’s only my 2nd week. I’m bouncing all over the place. I’m Cap 1. Either in GM or Grocery. I’m still trying to learn how to Bin and Cap using the TC Scanner. I don’t really have time to learn it when I’m floating everywhere, even smashes boxes using the Baler. I’m trying to stay positive, but now I’m off until next Saturday WTF.
@@iijuggyii6904 overnight is very chill. u can wear ur headphone just keep 1 out for manager intercom. other than that. just do ur shit dont rush it or else u have to help someone else
@@dangelodulo931 last time i work there is 2016 to 2018. so i did like 2 years 11 months. not so bad. i would probably last longer if i didnt move to cap 2/truck crew position. i heard they paying 17$ for truck and 18.50 for overnight. so pick ur poison
MORE MORE and then..... MORE LOL. I’m on night shift too so I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about when it comes to a lot or pallets to down stack. My question is what exactly do the other shifts do? That’s what I want to know ... I’ve only been working there for about 2 and a half months.....maybe you can do a video on that topic please.
I’d like some advice. So I just started on CAP 1. My first orientation day was 9 hours and 2 were videos and talking to HR and SM. The rest besides 1 hour lunch was me working freight in frozen. I was taken to the pallet and just told to stock. Nothing marked and of course I have no idea where anything goes. It’s all backstock. They are so far behind. The lead over me has only been doing it for 4 days. It’s a mess and looks like either night crew or previous associates just broke boxes and threw product in freezers. Tomorrow is my second day and I already don’t wNt to go. I’ve been a supervisor/manager the last 12+ years. The managers really don’t know what to do.
@@loveddbyyou5928 I know I work overnights at Walmart. Mostly work Frozen and our freezer is all the way full where you can’t even bin and you have to take out 3 or more pallets just to make room to bin, (because the pallets are in the way of the bins)
@@loveddbyyou5928 Ours are always full because they haven’t (Cap 1 and Cap 2) haven’t been purging enough. Plus I think Walmart keeps ordering to much products making us have too much overstock. Jokers they are lol.
There are 5 levels of leadership, your lead is/was at the first level (authority) while the 5th level is people follow you because they like following you. Leaders need to show respect and respect is earned. Leads are supposed to show a good example for those they lead to follow. My cent.
Remember this, Depending on what department they put you in you are only mandatory to work so many boxes an hour, do not do what I did and bust your a** and go as fast as you go.. When you do that they see your work ethic and they will make you do way more than every person in that entire store every single day and they will work you until you are exhausted and just want to quit. Most walmarts have a sheet in the back room where they stack the freight that shows you the department and the case per hour numbers.. Good luck.
I quit because I was tired of doing everybody else's job and not paid good enough. I was on an average Box per minute I would do 96 cases an hour. Most people take minutes each.
Oh and one of the cleaning guys who doesn't speak english hates me. Always bitching at me in Spanish and if I drop a box he kicks it across the store lol
you got in a month before i did, and now i got my wisdom teeth removed i would rather be at walmart throwing cases right now... im so bored out of my mind and like the fast pace of walmart.... uhg kill me alreadyyyy
Sorry bro but that’s sounds like insubordination ,, a supervisor asks you to do something , u do it ,, it’s called chain of command ,, simple as that ,, u don’t like to be told what to do , well you become a supervisor and you tell people what to do , plain and simple ,, 🤷♂️, it can’t be the other way around , you can’t tell Your Supervisor what to do ,, shhhishhhh
