I too have been referred for the bypass because of GERD, bile reflux, and gastroparesis. I'm so glad I found you! All the you tubers sharing their stories are very weigh-centric and that's really not how I want to measure the success of my journey. My surgery is in November. I hope you continue to share your recovery story.
Yes I can completely understand. And when you get the news. You're happy to have answers. But how do we fix it? I am glad we can share our journey here. Please know this channel is truly a safe space. When I started my journey, I was watching a lot of videos as well. But I couldn't find anyone that had the same issues I was having. As far as having surgery for acid reflux alone. I know I can't be alone. I feel like that part is being missed. I will be posting once a month. TFW 🤗❤️
I actually suffer from PTSD from being in the hospital fighting to breathe for the six days. No it's no joke for sure. Thank you for your encouragement. TFW ☺️❤️

Pheebee, what a health journey and you have really been enduring a lot. Getting healthy takes a lot of work especially navigating through the healthcare system. I have been sick before and I still have to watch certain foods. I too experienced extreme digestive issues years ago. Our bodies are so special and we need to keep moving forward. I started working out 3 weeks ago because I have gradually put on weight since that happened to me. I am going to get healthier gradually and work on it daily. I’m really proud of you talking about this so openly. You’re brave and very smart to take care of yourself. You really appreciate your gift of life. ❤❤❤

@@Mrs.PBanks I’m doing fine. I just constantly feel the push and pull of sometimes making a bad food choice. But I just keep going. It’s going well so far. I just have to watch my oils/fats. It’s best if I cook my own food. I feel like for me eating a little stricter is better for me.

i didn't have to do the 12 visits. My surgeon did a peer-on-peer discussion with my insurer when they initially did not approve my surgery. Thank GOD I was fast-tracked!
Hi Bek, I am truly happy for you! That is AMAZING! My insurance company didn't care. My surgeon and my doctor did peer-to-peer. And they still denied me. So I am excited that you won that battle. TFS and trusting to share your story with me. 🤗❤️
