I am not an expert but the 10 pinions were made from the late 60's to the early 70's and they weren't as strong as an 8 pinion . I've got a couple of them but have only tested one so far , when put up against a tree it still only spun one wheel with ag tires in the dirt , so it might help with traction but it's not like it "locks" the rearend .

@@ronbenz1569 Thanks Ron. Only two are " vintage " from 67-72 ( out of commission) bought just for the wheels--just 150.oo$= lots of parts. I did have my 4-16 a 1994 hydro job apart in the transmission. As l recall it was an 8 pionion.The "pesky" bolts loosened up & "jam-a-lated" the trany up----no real harm done but it was a 10.oo$ (parts-bolts-nuts)& a 20 HOUR JOB! Have an idea to make a selectable "locker" ,using "outboard gears& a slid mesh collar ( still on drawing board& lots of work). I have 3 bigger tractors now to do the Heavy work. The Wheelhorse's sure are fun---supping up one right now! Thanks again.

Most of them are kept under roof . The horse shelter actually has a heavy vinyl tarp on the floor and one that drops done in the front of it to keep them protected from the the elements . There's only 5 that are left outside because they are basically parts tractors that need disassembled . I am not against selling stuff , I am against selling stuff for a loss though and most people want everything cheap . I paid a fair price for my stuff (sometimes too much) so why should I give it away . I tried to sell a 416-8 (with no attachments) in the fall for 600 but everybody thought my price was too high and it might have been BUT just the engine goes for 400 around here so why would I let it go for less ? That's why I end up hoarding them . It's not just about money though , I do refurbish some of them and give them away to family and friends that need them .

@@ronbenz1569 If that is your prices LET ME KNOW! That is far from a "Bad" price... If it ran at anything near good then that is more then a fair price. I think it is most people want/willing to pay more to have a mower or plow is all. Seriously tho, I think we are in the same area from the sounds of it. Geneva, OH. Maybe not from you but you may know someone. I am looking for a small tiller, For my c-85 I have a good plow an 36" deck. Even like your c-120 with a till at a fair price. Or even a trade up with some cash? Do you have that 416-8 still and a tiller? lol

@@dizzlethe7346 Sorry but those aren't my selling prices, that's just about what I have in them . I do have a 416-8 and a pair of tillers for sale on facebook marketplace in Struthers OH

@@ronbenz1569 ​ O no no I totally understand you not selling them for less then you paid/got into them. I have only owned a WH for a year, An I know how a $300 tractor becomes a $800 investment real fast haha. I just meant that your solo 416-8 at $600 was more then fair as long as it had no major issues/rotting, Also most people would pay More then what the attachment is worth if it came with one like a plow or mower. Because they can see it an all that, Happens ALL the time to a lawn mower/tractor repair show near me. O that stinks I do not do facebook at all... Forces me to run it by the wife now to find them ugh haha.
