Love the honesty in your videos Andrew! Not just pretending to love everything about the watch because your wife got it for you! Regardless, it is a keeper for sure (she did an amazing job). Happy holidays.
Great present Andrew, your wife is a diamond , it's so special I would consider having the caseback inscribed. It's a keeper for sure. Happy Christmas. ⛄
Great looking watch, that could so easily be the perfect 1 watch collection. I tried on & nearly picked one up in November but went for the black bezel 41 in the end. Still surprises me every time how good the bezel feels to turn and how silky smooth the crown feels when winding & screwing in, absolute quality watch! Congratulations on the watch and better start thinking what you're going to buy your wife for next Xmas.
😆😆 cheers pal,,, I've watched it back and thought shiiite! I hadn't even put any get in it and tried to style it 👍 going for the messy can't be arsed look over Xmas!
Andrew. That is a looker mate. Whack it on and get on with your day mate. It really is a classic and under the radar piece. You’re looking well. Hope the finger is on the mend mate. Lucky you what a beaut wife. ❤
Cheers buddy and yeah you're spot on - I'm just gonna wear it and love to. Appreciate that mate,,, feeling a bit rough after all the beer, wine and food the last couple of days but totally worth it.
She’s a keeper…..My wife bought me my first watch ( Tag Indy) cherished it but had to move it on towards the next….wish i could have afforded to keep it at the time😢
Knowing how deep your passion , you have to give credit to the Mrs for even attempting to find you a watch that you'd be happy with. Are thought process and habits change daily so high praise indeed❤. Good luck in the new year and look forward to seeing the channel grow in the new year.
I was surprized when you flipped your first one because i had just bought the same. Nice to see you have it back, mine has gone back for repair as it stopped working. Not going to get rid as its going to my number 2 grandson, number 1 gets the Great white.
It was a rash decision at the time and I'm really glad I have it back. Such a great looking watch. Not great that it stopped working though?! Any reason for it?
@@watchandrew no no reason never been dropped and the lady in the AD said she was surprized. But hey ho it is mechanical, just as well it has 5 yrs warranty.
Mate! My wife bought me this watch for my 40th earlier this year! I had the same Tudor resevations at first. Problem is... once u wear one u cant take it off! I love my Tudors! Rough, though mans watch! Well done my man, enjoy it!
Great gift from your Mrs, this is the watch that turned tudor around and made the brand popular. I've got the 41mm in s and g , and I love the fact its chunky. The bracelet is comfy and I get a great fit on mine despite the lack of a quick adjust clasp. I don't even notice the faux rivets, and actually quite enjoy them because they are a bit different, and add a bit of vintage charm to the piece. I went for the two tone purely to have a change from the all steel watches that I own. And the red bezel with a chocolate face is what drew me to the tudor brand in the 1st place. There's a real warmth to the dial , and they are just cool watches. A bb58 would feel a tad small on my wrist, but the 41mm is just about right. I quite like the slab sided look as well, as a sub can feel a bit too girly . I've got smaller watches, and bigger , so I think if you wear it enough you soon get used to the size , whether its big or smaller. The tudor black bay is a great piece , and feels luxurious and special. My s and g was a 2018 model , and cost £3860 new, they now cost £4300, and if tudor put a 9% rise on them, they will cost nearly £4700. I paid £2750 for mine used, so thats nearly 2k , under now, what a new one will cost. Not that it really matters, but its nice to know that if you buy a good used model, that your money is fairly safe , and if you fancy a change, you'll get most of it back. And yes because its a sister company of rolex, but as designs , a lot of people are turning to tudor, because they are lovely looking watches , that are obtainable for most people, without having to remortgage the house !!! Enjoy it Andrew.
I've always fancied the S&G,,, they are certainly going up in value ain't they! It's been great so far and my concerns are my old concerns really, they are not bothering me at all this time round.
@@watchandrew , I love the brushed finish of the gold, its very modern , and I think that's the attraction of a black bay, while they are vintage inspired, they still somehow feel modern and fashionable .
A Tudor is for life, not just Christmas! Lovely watch with a stunning bezel insert. A Tudor is cirtainly on my list when I can afford one, I hope you enjoy your new watch👍
Parents Globemaster and now this beauty from the wife. Two evergreen keepers. What a lovely thing to know that SHE knows you love Tudor and picked this one out for you! Very special....That snarky comment ...poor man's Rolex.... jeez! Who cares what she thinks. Congrats and happy Christmas man
Happy Christmas Mike,,, yeah I'm getting the foundations of a collection of keepers!!! She's done so so well on this one. Think the comment was probably taking the p*as a little to be fair.... I love it mate,, always loved the red and my issues from before are simply not that big 2nd time round
It’s because wives want to be apart of our psychosis for watches and don’t want to make mistakes. The offer to exchange is always there, but beware. Great watch.
Cheers Paul,,, hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays and have a great new year. The thought and effort is kore important than the watch and I'm really enjoying that fact. Worn for 4 days straight and nothing but joy 🤩
Good for you Andrew! 👍 I purchased the same watch 9 months ago. Not as comfortable as my blue pelagos, but the more time goes on.... the more I start to reach for it instead. It's now a keeper, but desperate for a t-fit clasp to be released to retrofit. 🙏 Sentiment adds far more value/attachments than we may initially realise.
Wow I’ve got this watch on a leather strap and love it with my omega sea master 300 pro and still looking for something new.I’m looking at a titanium tudor 39 next year.
What an AMAZING watch for someone special to buy you…..You are so so lucky mate, seriously…… if my partner bought me a prx powermatic 80 I’d be lost for words, let alone THIS….. I WAS concerned about the faux rivets on this watch and the 58 but it’s so true when you say you don’t really notice them……👍🏻
Wow, your wife is amazing!!! I'm currently wearing my Harrods version of this watch and I love it. Definitely not a poor man's Rolex. I own the new 41mm Rolex submariner, and I still prefer my Tudor! Enjoy it in good health.
Nice mate, boy oh boy you need to get your sen in gear now lad. Trade in one of them Rolex’s for a nice 31mm two tone Rolex I reckon. That should do it 😂😂😂👍
She obviously felt bad for making you work dead hard with the DIY until you nearly cut your finger off. Lovely watch mate, I’m a big Tudor fan. I have the GMT
I think that this watch is so you. BB in red. Little bit of a statement in red, but under the radar enough to wear to work and every day. I think that this has “completed” your collection. I think that this and your globemaster are cracking watches. If anything I think I’d be more protective of watches that are gifts. I think you should make the above two watches your daily wearers.
Really hope you don't let it go. Sentimental value is beyond any specs or preferences. If my so bought me a casio, I'd wear it all the time. Just like a woman wouldn't exchange an expensive necklace you buy her as a gift ( at least as far as I'm aware).
The first rule of watch collecting: You never swap a watch the wife gives you. The second rule of watch collecting: Say it with me: You NEVER…..😂 Bro that is a cherry watch. I should be so lucky. Can’t even get mine to buy me a fricken watch roll! Working on it. Cheers to you and your better half. 😎👍🏼
Great present period ..This is our complete madness and we really should get control take ownership of our stupidity and do something about it . This too big , too, small , too thick etc is horse shit .. Do we hear any normal people saying this about their watch ? I got a 41 mm aqua terra from my wife , beautiful but the arsehole I am was saying maybe little bit top heavy and thick etc . Wear it a few times , change the way we think and appreciate what great watches we have , now love the watch . If we have to be selling what we buy constantly it means there’s not a problem with the watches but there is with our head and no amount of buying and selling will change this . Would strongly recommend that you give yourself some peace , enjoy your watches and forget about buying and selling .. That game for the most part is just a revolving door of throwing money down the drain ..
@@watchandrew Tell you mate been in this hobby for 15 years and could have bought a fricken villa in the costa del sol with the amount of money I’ve pissed down the drain buying new and selling preowned . Just go round in circles and achieve nothing . Took control of my stupid thinking a couple of years back and things are a lot better . I’ve got 15 great watches and now realise that going out and spending 5 or 10 k on another watch ain’t going to make me any happier tomorrow than I am today . The amount of times I’ve sold a great watch took a bath in the sale only to fund a lesser piece is the act of a total dumb arsed clown .. I should have cut out the middle man and stuck the cash right down the drain .. it’s all about taking control of our thinking and not giving into stupid urges , it actually becomes easy once you take ownership..l
