The weather is starting to get colder out, so I thought I'd show you a typical day at my barn during the winter time! Tacking up, hacking, turning out Posh after my ride, and more!

at my barn we roll up our stirrups so then when we walk into the barn the stirrups don’t get caught on anything

When I first saw posh’s paddock in this I was like omg it’s so cute because at my barn the individual padddocks are so small and muddy but posh gets her own little home!

I love the bemer. It's great for the horses. Especially for recovering. The settings are just the different times i believe. One for 5 minutes, two for 10min, and three for 15mins. My new barn doesnt have a bemer, but i do miss it.

I’ll say this, I’m very impressed with the speed in which addy has progressed, she went from a beginner to a very knowledgeable rider, with experience and can use double reins correctly

it’s partially because of money. they make a lot of money off of youtube and stuff, meaning abby is able to have her own (i think) lease horse, paying for lessons more often, doing shows a decent amount, etc.

my horse does the same thing. she squirms whenever i am saddling her and sometimes she’ll kick out but rarely but mostly it’s just squirming and a bit of spinning to “bite me” except she doesn’t actually try to bite me she just does it to scare me kind of. and before anyone says it might be cuz she’s in pain don’t worry we have had the vet come out multiple times to check her to see if there’s a reason she’s doing this but we haven’t found anything so i think it’s just one of her little quirks

Hi! I suggest you to try to watch some videos of tacking up with R+ because maybe your horse has got a bad “emotional-association” with the saddle, but in order for both of you to enjoy your work there should be none ☺️

The reason we roll up stirrups is because like if they have a fly in that area and if they try to get the fly by swinging their head around with their nose, and then they get their nose, stuck in the stir up, they could freak out and yeah but when you roll a stir up, it’s not really likely as much to happen

I just started jumping last year and I hope I will soon be good enough to do my first jumping show I normally do barrel racing but I decided to start hunter jumping and it’s so fun

Love ur videos I’m new to ur channel and I get that u know stuff about horses but just wanna point one thing thou but when ur tacking up u should always tack up on the left side of the horse and then tighten the girth on the left when ur first putting it on then the right side when ur on the horse

After I rid I have to deal with my stirrups because when I take the tack off my horse and I am holding the saddle so the stirrups don’t hit me doesn’t hit me 😊

Quick thing when you were done riding is it normal for her veins to be shown that much or is it always like that because when my horse was ridden by a friend she got her to canter and they went over a jump when she didn’t know how and then after she was shaking and you could see her veins very well
