From the DW's perspective this video is the reason why they would never make one. People will spend this much money on the hope to get one copy; and guess what.. Myst and others are still gonna keep playing this game $$$. They will never add pity and it's sad.
That's what happens when pity isn't a thing unfortunately. I can relate because I had a similar experience this summer. I spent a grand total of 1600 SQ on summer 3 & 4 banners (NA) and all I got out of it was a single copy of Merlin. I'm not joking, no non rate-up SSR either. Zip.nada. If I hadn't gotten Merlin I would have straight up quit the game ngl. So here I am; no Jarcher, no BB, no mUSAshi no nothing. Learnt my lesson this time around...
I had gone from december 31st of last year to a week into anniversary (JP), over 500 summons, without any 5 star servants at all. When I finally did get one on Koyanskaya's banner, it was a spook. Honestly I am just losing hope in this game, I love it but I might have to quit if summer goes poorly for me. I just can't keep going like this.

I plan to stick around for the story and because quite frankly I'm still too attached to this stupid game to let it go quite yet. I spent EVERYTHING I had on Oberon today because he's my favorite character and of course I love him. 480 SQ and 30 tickets... Nothing. I'll roll again next week tho... But I'm so scared.
man, i rolled 210sq on musashi and didn't got her, only osakabehime np2. when you waste all your quartz and you don't get the servant you want, it is a reason to be totally pissed off for the whole day. an horrible feeling.
Nearly two years later and I still feel bad for you having to go through this. Thankfully though it won’t ever be this bad again. But that doesn’t mean the 330th guaranteed isn’t that much better.
After seeing this I've decided I'm gonna stop spending money on this game outside of GSSR. I like FGO a lot, but I can't keep supporting it if it means I have experiences like this to look forward to.

Well to be fair, in a lot of the bond conversations he actually hates us too. So us summoning him is basically torturing him to hell. So the gacha's being poetic for once
for me no gacha should have pity, but sincerely calling people greedy just after they spend the price of their organs for just one character is kinda dumb.
@@ordine8142 That makes it inherently unfair for the majority of the playerbase since only a small minority are whales. If your game is fair F2P players may start spending from time to time but most importantly they will recommend the game to others which increases the chance of another whale playing the game. You generally want to keep both audiences happy if you want your game to prosper and GSSR is already unfair for F2P as is so adding another unfair mechanic will just make it worse
I see this in my recommendation after talking with some players about how terrible it is that fgo doesn't have a pity system. This video was further proof why that statement is correct...

@@sdbzfan1 i used over 1400Sgd +400 freequartz on last year summer banner in na server to get summer jeanne 1 copy only..and also no other ssrs so in total i spent pass 2k quartz so yeah a pity system would really save lives
60 SQ got NP2 Jeanne archer/Ushi summer (which I both got last year) and a Jinako. Spent 100 euros for both Summer Melt and Summer Hime and I got a Musashi and Melt NP1 (along with a bunch of 4* like NP6 lolidusa and Emiya). I hate this game lol
@@madcuriosity502 By how much is the question I ask you. It's easy to state something as simple as wanting pity but what kind of pity system are you asking for. If you say something like 1000 SQ gives an SSR then you aren't really saving lives there since you are still asking people to spend money or save half of their SQ not rolling for any other banner that might have servants they want. And what if the servant I want is not the Ishtar/Gilgamesh on the banner but instead someone like Cas gil/Gorgon. does your pity system count those in or are they left out cuz they have a higher percentage and thus people should have more of them in theory. SR's are just as desirable as SSR's and if pity fails to factor those in, they simply become either completely forgotten servants or the new SSR's that people would hunt in the game for

thats why im 100% f2p not even rolling gssr banners. and every time i have some quartz or tickets i use them on a banner that has some servants i want. that way im happy if i get something without feeling like shit if i dont cause im not rolling hundrets of quartz ive saved up over months.
@@uteriel282 I'm mostly f2p only doing like 4 or 5 gssr but funny enough my f2p rolls are better so it's hardly worth using more money than that. I was probably most happy getting ereshkigal and saving for space Ishtar now. Jp wise only like 2 or 3 sevants in 2 years I actually like so it's more easy to skip banners as later units aren't as good or interesting as a whole
@@ivanbluecool my rolls get me either nothing or they are godly. started na in 2018 and got close to 20 ssr servants and 50 sr servants now each with less than 150 quartz per banner. started jp last november and got 10 ssr servants and 20 sr servants now also each within 150 quartz or less per banner. last ones i got were merlin in na with 33 quartz and koyanskaya in jp with 8 tickets.

I spent 4 packs on him, on top of 240 free quartz I had left after Koyan's banner. This is the most I've thrown at a banner since Nero Bride in 2019 (where I wasted 6 packs and didn't get her). This was painful. I got 5 (FIVE) min-rolls in a row. I got spooked by Europa and Nightingale, I NP10 Fairy Gawain after not getting a single copy of her during Morgan's banner, I also got NP5 FK Tristan. This was kind of expected, since I got super lucky during Anni and Lolilot's banner, but goddamn, this broke my spirit.
About 1200.. It took me 1400 to NP1 Vitch, so just throw another 200 at him. Lol I used 500 for this banner just to get Tristan and Gawain, but ended up with a Fionn and Carmilla spook. So JP has given me the biggest middle finger as of late.

Ya know, the easiest fix to the no pity issue, even if it's still not what we want, is to simply turn the weekly master missions into dailies. They can keep the same amount of fragments to 21 and have players get 25 quarts a week instead of 7 and by the end of the month they can have 100 quartz and 4 tickets, as opposed to what we have now where it's only 28 quartz. It essentially just throwing quartz at the problem, which is what they do with the anniversary and extra missions anyway, but it would give players a chance to realistically save for banners and even recover from bad rolling sessions between banners. I'm confused as to why more people don't suggest this and opt for a complete rework of the gacha system which has been ignored by the developers for so long. You can still get screwed over since there no pity, but it would give people more opportunities to roll for free before sacrificing their wallets.
@@hungerxhunger2548, you're just used to the miniscule amount of sq this game gives. 15-20 quartz per week should be the bare minimum for players that consistently play the game. Especially in fgo where the pity is 900 sq, literally name another gacha game that only gives 2 pulls per week AND has a horrible pity system, even genshin gacha is better than fgo's.
After watching this I'm even more convinced that I'm just gonna skip everything after Gilgamesh to save for Niece Castoria and Oberon, even though I love many servants that will come in between. I just loved Oberon too much from day 1 (probably one of the few that loved his first design right away from when he was announced). I would have liked to get at least Caenis for Kirshtaria, but seeing how I failed to get Luvia, summer Ushi and Asclepius(got Reines, Jarcher and Junao) I'm probably gonna give up on that as well
If I'm lucky I'll try to get Koyanskaya after Oberon NP1 and if possible more copies of Oberon right after that, maybe I'll give up on more copies if they release either Solomon(Romani) or Kirshtaria in some kind of way

the most important to know is that you should save for the servants you want. a lot of people ask for pity in a game like FGO without thinking about the fact that FGO's a mainly PVE game/waifu simulator. the game doesn't have a PVP element to it and even if it did it wouldn't be as crazy as other gacha games. So it's a lot easier to save for the servants you want compared to other gacha games.
Oh yeah, this reminds me of that one time I did like 150 rolls for Super Orion and didn't get a single gold servant. A smarter person would have stopped way earlier... I did not. From then on I set myself a rule to never go over 100 rolls on any banner. This way I can keep my sanity even if I might not always get everyone I want. The ONLY servant I'm willing to break that rule for is Castoria when she comes to NA next year.

@@sherlockoberon_akomi9781 Good luck to you with that, but I'll be honest, while he is great for harder content (especially in arts teams, but not only), his 2nd NP is not very good, as it only adds 10% reduced defense for the enemies. If his 2nd NP was like say Van Gogh's, and increased crit strength from 50% to 75% (for Sherlock it's tied to overcharge, which is great because it makes it easier to use), then I would say go for it, but as it stands, especially if you are F2P, I would save those quartz. And I'm not saying save the Quartz for a meta caster, you can grab another husbando, someone that works quite well with Sherlock, someone like Super Orion. Or save for Muramasa, he is amazing, even if you don't have your very own Castoria. But also, at the end of the day it's your quartz so you can do whatever you want with it, so don't let anything I said here (or anyone else) stop you from going for your targets. If you like Sherlock that much, go get that NP2.

(40 stars if its np 5) -And buffed his aoe crit up effect from 50% to 100% crit. (200% if the overcharge is 500%)

It feels so nice that we get to use 1 paid SQ to roll 1 per day instead of you know, an actual pity system like literally EVERY OTHER gacha game has! There really shouldn't be any reason someone can spend some much money and NOT get a rate up servant.

It's like saying that it's okay for a game developer to shit on their playerbase just because other developers do the same. I'm going to give you two examples of games with a pity system where you only need one copy of an unit for that unit to be useful and there is not a lot of powercreep, Epic Seven and Arknights. And I only know those two because they're the only ones I play at the time, and FGO obviously. Also, there's is no valid reason for a game to not have a pity system other than to milk more money from the players, and if you think that doing that is okay then there is nothing more that I can say to you
@@kronusx3484 Almost all servants in FGO benefit from having more NP levels, but that isn't what I am talking about because you have to be lucky enough or spend enough to even get a servant in FGO. I know two really good friends who have used thousands of SQ. One on merlin and the other on quetz. One spent 2200 SQ on merlin and only got 1 COPY! The other has spent 2100 on quetz and still hasn't got her. How is that at all fair or consumer friendly?? I only play one other gacha, azur lane. IMO it has a really nice system for enhancement of your ships, even going as far as having boulins which you can use in place of extra copies to limit break ships. Then there is FGO. Where once per day you can give them more money to roll for ONE servant/CE where you are more likely to get struck by lightning then to get any currently on rate up servant. If it weren't for the fact I like fate lore and my account, I wouldn't be playing FGO.
@@KillaManReaper2 FGO is purely PVE. not a mix of PVP and PVE like most gacha games. You can absolutely run content without ever using a single SSR/SR servant and not worry about servants being power crept due to not being able to do as much damage as the latest servant you want. You only whale because you love the characters not because you are trying to compete with everyone else in the world. Also while I understand the appeal of Pity, Pity wouldn't magically solve every single gacha game nor make the pain less. Pity's just COPIUM the system. You get the thing you want but ask yourself this. Do you really feel happy getting what you are looking for? Sure, maybe you do. But what happens when Pity fails and just gives you another copy of the same SSR you have been looking for. I argue that's even worse than no SSR at the end of the day cuz you basically got nothing but a pity consolation prize. not the actual servant you want.
Imo one of the most generous gacha game is Dragalia Lost. First, you regularly get enough to do a 10 rolls and the ssr drop rate starts at 4% and increases by 0.50% every 10 rolls and if you are not lucky the pity system allows you to CHOOSE one of the ssr in rate up after 200 rolls. Then comes the biggest positive of the game: there is no need for duplicates to strengthen a character. Once you get him/her you just need to have the necessary materials to level up your level and skills. In short, the only difference in this game between f2p and whales is the number of trials possible to obtain the desired ssr. The rest depends on how much time you spend farming the items needed to craft end-game gears. Conclusion: this is probably not the best gacha game on the market but at least it has the merit of having a system that is healthier than the others. And by the way, the ost is really good for those who appreciate anime songs.

This video should be a reminder that at the end of the game, what we play is a GACHA game based on Gashapon, a concept rooted in sucking up your money, with pity system or not. Be careful with how much money you spend. Your wellbeing is more important than fictional tiddies.
Sometimes gacha fucks you royally and nothing to be done about it - i am still mad about my godjuna summons where i barely got 1 copy of him and 1 copy of Asvvathaman in 1400+ sq,it also left me broke for a while(
Came here to feel good about myself. Spent 660 sqs on Bersertoria banner with no ssr at all. Not to mention the 500+ sqs I spent on prior Malter and Tonelico banners and also got not a single ssr. Words cannot describe how I am feeling right now. I am running out of apples from farming all the story, free quests, interludes, rank ups, advanced quests, ascending my servants. All the stuff I can do to get sqs, I have done. Something is broken and I don’t know if it’s me or the game. Help.
i was thinking maybe the Judge who decides that USO system was all it takes for DW to evade Gambling Law either needs to play this game personally or see a compilation of the horrid rolls, the descent of it's streamer to sunk-cost-falalcy and ask himself was USO system really liable.
At this point the USO system shouldnt legally get them past the gambling law. They should probably be investigated... this and many other videos are proof that it does nothing

When it's proven that the desire sensor is real, and it looks like the game developers don't care about making the game give more back to players for their money... that's when gacha, like any form of gambling, needs to be handled responsibly. The lack of a pity system and the low rates are why even high level whales need to set financial limits for themselves so they don't bankrupt themselves, to know when to accept a loss, to say "Okay, I'm spending way too much now for a png, I need to give up on the character for now and hope for another rateup down the line." I've had two Servants I reached that point with myself, where if I didn't get them on the last bit of SQ I could afford, I would have had to give up. Money does not change luck in this gacha, so you shouldn't try to push it if your luck is dried out. Myst was smart at 3:28 for seeing that his luck was dry and should have stopped rolling, so shame on the Twitch chat, especially the Cheerers and donors, for pushing him to more after that point. I know you want to please your audience for content, but at the same time they should be willing to understand when the streamer needs to stop rolling (a lot sooner than this chat did), that their donations/cheers can be used toward the next new Servants (Summer 6 should be announced soon, right?).
fun fact if you guys haven't already noticed lol, you can predict if you are gonna get a servant or a CE while summoning, take a close look at the summoning animation before the card is revealed, specifically the rings of light. If there are three rings, it'll be a servant (EX: 5:13), while a CE will only have one ring (EX: 5:03 ). hope this was helpful lol

Ever played the games op music while pulling for any servant I did that and with my last attempt on vitch with my last quartz from 240 SQ and 22 tickets. Might boost your luck got spooked by karna and archillies though.

I personally know that I'm cursed with the new classes every single time during the year they appear. If one year has passed since the release of the class, I'll have my chances. That's why even if I wanted Oberon, trying to pull wouldn't even cross my mind (his 3rd stage looks sick though).
mine was Alter ego.. i never been able to get anyone like Melt, passionlip, okita alter.. only after 2 years i finally able to get an alter ego , it was Kingprotea
@@leonartha03 For Alter Ego, I first tried Kiara... I failed really hard (don't remember how much SQs but I was salty). I understood this curse when I got Okita Alter in 3 multis the year after that.
Oh, bud, I've been there recently. Saved over 1k Saint Quartz over a full year for Maou Nobu and didn't get a single copy... luckily got her np2 after spending a little but It felt like absolute shit that I had to spend at all. This happens every time I save (Drake, Raiko, Hokusai) It feels HORRIBLE. I know you likely spent more than i did but just... yeesh it stings.

Well i think you should learn a little more about a phrase ->holding back, sometime when you already got 5 star from the 1st or 2nd pickup the 3rd won't be guaranteed. And when U make a pull from a banner erased all expectations, with that your regrets won't be to much damage.(maybe)
