In June this year I had the worst theatre experience, I was watching the flash movie and there were 3 kids sitting behind me and my friend, and during important scenes they'd turn they're phone up and play loud memes, they'd moan out loud, they were about 11 or 12, I kept turning around, and then they started taking photos of me on they're phone, you could see the flashlight, and brooooooo I was so pissed, I watched the flash again and had a better experience, and even tho I like the flash movie, I was so close to talking to the annoying kids

Mine is Avengers Endgame. We couldn't go see it at a movie theater, because they were all sold out, so we went to a drive-in instead. Anyway, at this drive in, to get the audio for the movie, you use the radio in your car. I was in my family's really old crappy car, and when the time travel scenes started, the car battery died. One of the workers was able to fix it after a few minutes, but we got no audio for basically all of the time travel scenes. So it kinda ruined the movie for me.

Mine has to be Wakanda Forever! It was a packed room, which can go one of two ways: the Endgame, No Way Home or Barbie route where everyone is having a great time, is so engrossed in the film, reacts at the right moments and cheers when the movie is over….or it can go the Wakanda Forever route where everyone was talking THE ENTIRE FILM, recording it on their phones, laughing at scenes that are emotional in the context of the film as well as real life! Just the utter disrespect to Chadwick’s legacy and everyone involved in the film was truly appalling and disgusting to witness

One experience I had was M3GAN. The movie itself I loved, but the first time I tried to watch it, this couple and their two little girls that were probably six years old were also in the theater, and they would NOT SHUT UP! During the previews, the two little girls were kicking my seat behind me, and for God knows why, their mom sends them to sit beside me to the right (they didn’t sit right next to me, they sat like a seat away, but still). Then when the movie begins, and we have that opening scene where the parents get in the car wreck, the little girls were like “MOMMY! WHERE’S DADDY?!” The mom tried to whisper them to be quiet, but I could still hear her voice. And the girls just kept talking and making commotion throughout, and it took me out of the movie. By the time M3GAN gets rid of the neighbor’s dog, one of the girls goes all “the ol’ lady’s lookin’ for the dog, the little girl killed the dog!” And at that point, I was just done, so I walked out of the theater, which I had never done before! But, it has a happy ending. I tried again the next night, and I had a much better experience. Another experience was Charlie’s Angels (2019). On the one hand, the movie itself was just awful. But at some point during the middle of the movie, it just paused, for a really long time, like 5 minutes. And I think it paused twice. It was so annoying! But who knows, maybe the projector was trying to do me a favor🤣🤣

My worst experiences were 1. When I went to across the spider verse, there was a mother and the child & the child talked through the entire movie. I ended up having to move to the front of the theater for the 2nd half of the movie. 2. D&D was the worst theater I have ever been in 3. Someone threw up in the middle of my experience in the little mermaid.

I went with a friend one time and his dad to see Spider-Man no way home. Not even 5 minutes into the movie some guy in front of us stands up and launches soda on us. Apparently my friends dad kicked his seat by accident. The guy didn’t even ask him to stop tho. He just stood up and threw soda at us. He walked out of the theater right after. We all dried off and the theater workers gave us free seats to the next showing. They didn’t know what to do after what happened so they gave us a $500 regal gift card!!! All I can say is that it was worth it 😂. If I saw the guy again I would anger him so I could get another gift card worth that much… …jokes aside it was a weird experience with a gift cards worth our troubles in the end!!

Personal worst was Across The Spider-Verse. Two high-schoolers sat in front of me and would not stop talking. It wasn't even jokes, it was just movie commentary. At one point their dad fell asleep and they wouldn't shut up during the end of the movie about how funny it was that their dad fell asleep. By far the most annoying ever.

Chris I can totally understand your problem cause I was gone to a movie in India and like three teenagers come up into the auditorium next to ours and start like exploding some fireworks small ones and I literally pooped my pants cause it was like a gangster movie and I got really anxious one more time I was at an airport and I see people in burkhas (search that up ) and just start running in men shoes ( cause umm women are supposed to wear them ) and when I was entering the flight I was just looking around for them making sure that they were not on the flight 😂😂😂

People walking in late with their flashlights on always bothers me, and it happens often, also seems people love to take picture of the screen with their flashes on, my worst experience is probably doctor strange MOM opening day when the little kid in my row would get up bother his sister then do a fortnite dance, he also went to the bathroom multiple times and was loud

My worst cinema experience was in Spectre. In the final action scene where Bond and Madeline are on the boat driving out of the exploding building, the screen cuts out for about 15 minutes. They replayed it but from the start of the final action scene, so it was a little frustrating. Also, recently in Barbie, there was a group of teenage girls in the middle of the cinema who were making jokes and noises and laughing all the way through the 3rd act and through the emotional scenes. Really took me out of it.

With that mission impossible 7 story obviously the parents are to blame not the kid he clearly has some issues which are quite common and he can’t control that so the parents shouldn’t have taken him to see the movie you’ve got to feel for the kid really because his parents are supposed to help him and they did the exact opposite of that

My worst experience is seeing Still Alice and a couple of seats to the right were these group of teen girls laughing and giggling throughout the movie until a guy came up and “Will you guys shut the fuck up?!” Totally justified. He went back down to sit they started laughing again. So when he got up to get the cinema usher the teen girls spread out around the cinema but thankfully the usher came and got all of them and asked them to leave. This behaviour shouldn’t happen at any screening but for it to be Still Alice they agree to go into and start laughing obnoxiously is really weird.

My worst experience isn’t that bad, but it sure was annoying. Very recently I went to see Haunted mansion with my sister and sat next to a family with a small child. He kept saying “oh he is toast! He is dead meat!” Which at first was kinda cute. Eventually I started getting annoyed, but I realized he was just a kid who didn’t know any better. At a certain part, there was a pretty good jumpscare considering it’s a Disney movie. But this kid kept on going: “I told you he was dead meat!” When the screen was bright enough I look over and see that this “small child” had to be at least 10 years old, but he looked 12. Overall just annoying that they don’t know how to teach their kids movie theater etiquette.

Mine was Wakanda Forever. A couple was making out literally for the entire length of the movie. And my seat was right in the middle of the row not even in a corner. Yeah, they ruined the whole movie for me, I tried to ignore them but they even kept making stupid noises. And I usually don't go to the theatre twice for a movie, so those fricking idiots ruined my only screening.

1) For Insidious 3 my girlfriend went with me and we were sitting near the top. There was another couple sitting right behind us and they kept talking throughout the movie. I was getting so pissed and finally turned around and told them to please be quiet, we’re trying to enjoy the movie. They make some snarky comment and stopped for the most part, but I was so mad it ruined the movie for me. At the end of the movie they gave us a dirty look and I told the guy do you have a fuckin problem. I was walking towards him to confront him and his girlfriend pulled him away and they left. Probably my worst theatre experience and still pissed me off to this day. 2) I saw Jigsaw with a friend, and this sketchy looking guy came halfway through the movie and sat down in the same row as us to the far left side. He looked like he was a druggy or maybe homeless, and he had a backpack with him. We were both on edge and my friend had a firearm on him as he has a concealed carry permit. The guy was acting very sketchy and we were waiting for him to do something crazy, but he ended up leaving 20ish minutes later so we finally were able to calm down. A tense situation and like you said I’m always alert of my surroundings in areas and planning my exit just in case. 3) I saw Barbarian by myself and sat in the right side of the top row. 5 minutes after the movie started, these 2 larger women came in and sat in the middle of the top row. They brought food/snacks with them and were eating obnoxiously and talking to each other as well. Was very irritating, but I just ended up getting up and walking to the lower section of the theatre to finish the movie. 4) I saw Fast X by myself in a somewhat empty theatre with only maybe 15-20 other people. There was a guy watching the movie by himself in the row behind me. This was an 11AM showing and the dude ends up falling asleep. He begins to snore loudly from time to time. This goes on for about 15 minutes or so and I was shocked that NOBODY in the same row as him or the people sitting directly behind him didn’t say anything. I was in disbelief nothing was said, so I ended up having to turn around and said hey buddy wake up. Nothing happened. So I literally had to get up out of my seat, walk to the row behind me, and say HEY GUY WAKE UP. He finally woke up, got startled, and ended up spilling half his drink on his pants lol. I laughed and shook my head and went back to my seat and things were fine after that. 5) And yes I’ve experienced plenty of times where children/babies are disruptive in theatres and parents wait WAYYYY too long to do anything. Also blows my mind when parents bring their little kids (like 3-5 years old) to really disturbing horror movies like Evil Dead Rise or similar ones. It’s borderline child abuse!

It's about the stranger things theory video: I have a scenario which has been running in my head for over a year: I think that El is gonna save the day but she will be injured badly (Tony Stark style). Mike (or all of the group) will come towards her and tell her with tears "El you are gonna be fine, we just need to get you to a hospital". She says in her last breath "Friends don't lie" and then she dies. I think that if it happened it would be a great closure to the story and eleven. It would be a reference to the most iconic line of this show, it would be heartbreaking and emotional. If I had to guess who is gonna die next season I'd say Eleven, Steve, Will

My first viewing of Across the Spiderverse was ruined sadly. There were 2 separate groups of dickheads trying to be funny that talked nonstop for the entire runtime. One was right next to me, and they were 3 boys about 11-13 years old. The other group actually was asked to leave midway through the movie by the staff. It was like 7 or 8, 19-22 year old guys

I uploaded all 32 MCU films last night onto my Google Photos. Even ones I can't stand like Captain Marvel and Eternals. I had about 13 MCU films already stored, so I only needed 19 more. And I downloaded Love And Thunder and GotG3 right before I did the mass upload to the cloud. Here's my S-Tier Rankings 1. Avengers: Infinity War 2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3. The Avengers 4. Captain America: Civil War 5. Avengers: Endgame I have issues with Civil War because Tony got vilified just because he was pissed at Bucky for killing his parents. I don't buy Iron Man ever losing a fight to Captain America because he got tripped! Endgame has problems for me in terms of story. I hated that Tony had to die but I was expecting it 3 years before it happened. I wasn't really wowed in the final grand battle. Bloated CGI work. Now I don't believe Infinity War is a perfect film by any means. Population control? Couldn't Thanos find a quiet planet to live in instead of wiping out half the universe? But it's arguably the best one and MCU should've ended it there but they couldn't kill their other IPs to milk. I know MCU or M-She-U gets criticized these days after Endgame. How the streaming TV shows also ruined it. How it's never really been the same since Avengers 4. And yes, I don't believe it will ever reach that level of excitement for me when the next two Avengers films comes out. But give credit, they were a very consistent franchise from 2012-2019 starting with the first Avengers film and ending with Part IV. Phase 3, batting average was over .800. That's hard to do to make 10 really good films from a single franchise. Star Wars can't even make 5 really good ones after 9 films and 2 spin-off films. Now do I love MCU like before? Probably not. Iron Man is dead and I prefer if he remains dead to have at least some high stakes and sacrifice in these films. Will never be the same for me. Nothing lasts forever. But for a time from 2008-2019, they were the best and most popular movie franchise we had ever seen. I'm sorta done with all these dumb "blockbuster" films or any films from a franchise. I realized many of my personal favorite films are singular. Not reboots. Not a remake. Doesn't have a sequel or prequel. I used to watch IFC and love indie films. Some of my favorite indie films are Memento, Swingers, Donnie Darko, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Stoned Age, and Ed And His Dead Mother. I was watching All About Eve (1950) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) right before I fell asleep last night while my movies were being uploaded to Google Photos via Pixel 3. I wanted to watch AFI's top 100 movies from the 1998 list on RU-vid. I remember recording it. If I can personally rerank those films they used from the 1998 list, I'll go... 1. The Godfather Part II 2. The Godfather 3. Schindler's List 4. Pulp Fiction 5. Goodfellas 6. Star Wars 7. Forrest Gump (this film is divisive) 8. Casablanca 9. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest 10. Psycho Honorable mentions - Raiders of the Lost Ark 2001: A Space Odyssey A Clockwork Orange Dr. Strangelove Apocalypse Now The Wizard of Oz Some Like It Hot It's A Wonderful Life The Graduate (I love this one) Rear Window Vertigo Citizen Kane I've never seen Gone With The Wind yet. I know lately, it's deemed as being racist. I think Goodfellas is more rewatchable than Pulp Fiction but PF is probably a better film since it's about redemption and the nonlinear storytelling. Goodfellas is my favorite film from that original AFI list from 1998 followed by Some Like It Hot, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather Part II, The Godfather, Star Wars, Forrest Gump, and The Graduate. Schindler's List is brilliant and to me is Spielberg's best film, but it's hard to rewatch that. I've seen it 5 times, so that averages out to every 6 years. But I notice some people are like that. One of my friends is like this. He can't watch any movie more than 3x. He doesn't want to get sick of it. They can love a film but they don't need to keep rewatching it. Rewatching it can ruin their first great experience from it. It's how I feel about Jurassic Park (1993). The best time I saw it was that first time in the theater in June 1993 or a couple weeks after release. By the second time, I already knew all the spooks and scares. Wasn't the same ever again. Same with many Chris Nolan films like Inception. That first time is always the best time you saw it. Nolan makes consistently excellent films but they don't have the highest replay value. Maggie of *Deepfocuslens* said it best when explaining Vertigo as her favorite film from the 1950s. Sometimes it's better to distant yourself from films you love. Don't grow tire of it. Don't watch it for several years and then you can appreciate it all over again after you do. It's similar to riding a rollercoaster. You ride it too many times, you will be bound to get sick of it.

One of my worst ones was Incredibles 2. Me and my family were on a trip and we decided to go to the big fancy theatre (compared to our small town theatre lol) and watch this. It was really humid that day, and it was calling for a thunderstorm. So, lone behold, it did hit, and during the movie. So the power went out so many times throughout the entire movie, and they had to come in and be like “sorry! We’ll have this fixed momentarily”. And it happened so many times that when the movie actually ended, they gave everyone a ticket/voucher for like a free movie the next time they watched one or something like that lol And also Super Mario Bros movie. I chose the earlier screening to go with my mom (bad decision, should’ve went at the 8:30 pm slot) and the small kids just would not shut up. Still enjoyed the movie though.

Well Abt 10 teenagers walked in and they were talking and on phones throughout the adverts and trailers (which I don't mind) and ofc they continue to talk and go on their phones while the film played. One girl even played tiktoks with the sound on. They were taking pics with the flash on too and they were literally a row in front of me with two girls a couple seats to my left. This guy with his partner looked like he wanted to strangle them and thankfully he told them off but they still continued. I was seeing "Strays" of all movies with my dad last summer. His reclining seat didn't work, so he decides to move one seat over as the movie is starting. I was a bit nervous about that not technically being his assigned seat and sure enough about 15 minutes into the movie a woman walks in, does a full blown GLARE at the two of us, and walks back out. I'm thinking "oh boy, here we go..." A minute later a man (I assume to be her husband) comes in clearly a bit drunk and literally gets in my dad's face about being in his seat. This not only made me have a panic attack and need to leave the theater in a mess of tears and "I'm so sorrys" because apologizing is always my gut reflex when it comes to stressful social situations, but it's pretty much had me on edge about the reserved seating thing ever since. If the dude would have just approached us like a normal person I'm sure my dad would have been fine moving back to his original seat, but the sheer hostility was enough to just wreck my panic disorder. What really throws me off about this whole thing though was that there were PLENTY of other seats the couple could have gone to. The fact that they felt the need to be totally confrontational now gets me really nervous any time someone walks into a film late. I hate the whole system. I hate the potential for public conflict surrounding it. I hate sitting next to people generally speaking for reasons very similar to your anxieties but also because I'm a big guy who's on the spectrum so I'm also PAINFULLY self aware of how potentially intimidating I can come across to people who don't know me. I really wish I had the luxury to just go to the furthest corner of a movie theater and not be in anyone's personal space and not have anyone be in mine, but the reserved seating incident makes that a lot harder to do. I don't apply this to opening weekends of big releases and figure those will be busy, but when my family is getting full on confronted on a freaking Tuesday in a half empty theater, those are the types of days where I really wish the reserved seating thing could just get phased out. As you laid out, going to the movie theater is already stressful enough. Since I'm obviously not a confrontational guy, what I really hate is when you walk in and someone is already in your seat. That actually happened to me with Across the SpiderVerse round two. You can either say something which inherently makes me nervous because you never know when some rando is just not going to be reasonable about something like that, or you can sit in another seat and HOPE that doesn't cause a freaking domino effect. Just not a very good system when it's so easy for a single person not paying attention to their seat number to cause an entire chain reaction of stress as each person comes in. I'm probably rambling but your point about theaters feeling unsafe really spoke to me and I feel like general hostility towards reserved seating is something that we should be talking about more when it comes to making the theater an environment you actually feel comfortable in.

One of if not the most annoying movies theater experiences I've had was when I went to an early screening of Top Gun Maverick with my family. Because it was an early screening it was quite a big theater and there was a very long line for popcorn. Unfortunately, there was only two workers in the theater at the counter, and that did not help the line situation very much as everyone was getting anxious to get their popcorn and sit down before the movie started. So, one out of the two young teenaged workers decides to solve the problem by literally shutting off the popcorn machine (there were more than one behind the counter but only one was running in the first place). He said it just stopped working but obviously he was lying just to get rid of the line. I was honestly blown away how he would just do that to everyone. And after asking if he was planning on turning it back on he just responded "no it's off for the night" so my family as well as almost half the theater had to watch the whole of Top Gun Maverick without popcorn. Note: thankfully Top Gun Maverick was such a phenominal movie I was sucked in the entire time.

My worst movie theater experience (by far) was when I saw Knives Out during the thanksgiving holiday and several times during the movie, a man on my left one or two rows ahead of me was on his phone with the brightness up. And it was so distracting seeing a glare of light out of the corner of my eyes so I had to put my hand over the side of the glare to block it out of my view.

Putting up with someone else's kid(s), or someone who is on their phone is the worst. Though the last bad movie experience I had was earlier this year while seeing The Super Mario Bros Movie on release day. There was this family consisting of a mom, her son and his dad, though they decided to sit on either left and right of me (even though the whole auditorium was bare during the entire movie). The mom wouldn't stop talking, the dad (next to me on my right) kept looking at his watch (like he had to be somewhere) and their kid.....who I swear was mentally challenged or something kept staring at me (unless something happened in the movie) then he would ask his mom "what happened?" (3x each time), then go back to looking at me (freaky). Then after the post credit scene this little Goblin (disguised as a kid) looks back at everyone in the audience and shouts out loud "Alright everyone! Go home!" Then he looks at me one last time and then shows me his tongue (gave me the raspberry). I'm not a violent person, though I truthfully was holding myself back from taking this little buttgoblin, throw him over my lap and spank him myself. Though thankfully I was able to see the Mario movie a second time a week later with a couple of family members.

I can relate to the one about the Mission Impossible One. I went to the movies with my friends to see Kung Fu Panda 4 for one of my friends birthday. And one of my friends and I spot a kid walking about with an iPad. There was a glow hitting his face from the iPad.

The film burnt while watching Godzilla 98, it took like 10-15 minutes to fix, took me out the movie. A next seat neighbor started sleeping minute one of Wonder Woman. Somebody threw a full slurpee from the tunnel into 5 rows in front of me, twice with 15 minutes in between, that was while watching Equalizer 2. And even though it was like a midnight screening of A Star Is Born, people were still coming in 30 minutes after the movie started and some of them were talking the whole time.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi was easily the worst theater experience for me. It was a packed theater where we had to sit in the very front row and on top of that, there was a kid sitting next to me who WOULD NOT stay still. Also, The Last Jedi was terrible. I haven’t had really any bad theater experiences, but this was the one that really sucked.

I always have SUPER bad anxiety at the movie theater. So much so, that on days I go see movies, I can't have coffee in the morning. I have to wait till after the movie.
@joetvshowandmoviecorner8960
When I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem for the first time on opening morning there were some children no older than 12 talking through the whole goddamn movie right behind me and they had no parents with them. I shushed them and they still kept talking. They also kept running in and out of the screening which lead to me missing out on some funny jokes that are told in the movie and I wanted to yell at them so badly. Some other children also walked in during the last five minutes for some reason and were also really loud. Next time those kids better have parents with them because I won’t hesitate to tell them to shut up.

Me and my dad went to see a movie and someone came in with a very big back pack. They were two seats away from us and just put his big pack back down on the seat and walked out. Me and my dad looked at each other with concern and were tempted to go and report it but he came back 10 minutes later and there wasn’t an issue. Was concerning tho at the time.

Watching this video reminds me of a few different times where I had terrible theater experiences, two were horror movies and one was for the Incredibles 2 where I had a kid making a fuse next to me, a woman blowing her fan on the other side and a family who kept having their baby crying behind me. I ended up just moving down closer to the theater and I was still not enjoying it.

My worst experience was watching mockingjay part 1, and a grown man was barking like a dog periodically throughout the movie. I couldn’t believe it and I was younger at the time so I was scared to confront him but the entire theater was saying stuff to him as the credits rolled. Completely ruined that movie for me

My worst theatrical experience is The Wolverine 2013. I couldn't even finish the movie in theaters because at some point 90 minutes into the movie, the movie stopped and it turned out that the theater I saw the movie in was facing a blackout so I couldn't even see how it ends until it came out on digitial. I didn't see it in theaters for a 2nd time because at that time I never had a mindset of seeing movies more than once in theaters. The first movie I saw more than once in theaters is Frozen mainly because I was forced to take my dad to see it since he had work when I saw the movie the first time. Thankfully I didn't miss much because my god the 3rd act was atrocious. The first 2 acts was really good tho.

Across the Spider-Verse on my second viewing. It was in my local cinema and it was full of 5 year old children and they were screaming, running around and talking. Luckily it was my second viewing but the person I was with hadn't seen it. Another one was when I saw Amsterdam. I was with some friends and this one guy sat in our seats said one of them was for his gf and I showed him our tickets, still didn't move and only when the film starts and his gf yelled at him to move and when he left he stepped on my foot really hard as if he was three years old.

Your Mission Impossible 7 experience sounds as horrifying as Girl in the Basement If you don't know what that movie (Girl in the Basement) is, it's about this father who dumps his daughter in the basement for almost most of her life and she ends up making a living in that basement and even giving birth + raising her children in that basement. Emma Myers (Enid from Wednesday) is in that film.
