I agree. I honestly couldn't stand his content back when he was so horribly obnoxious, but since he stopped giving a damn and faking everything so hard, I actually enjoy his videos now :)
I love how Pew is actually admits that his content is just nothing special, when most of other youtubers who are not even close of being so funny, think what they are doing on RU-vid is a masterpiece.

Dan and Phil honestly said that the last FNAF wasn't that scary and people didn't give them shit for that, but when you were honest, your viewers almost burned you at the stake. This is actually sad.
Dan and phil fans dont come there for the game they go there for dan and phil which is why even if they made an hour long video of just worthless content people would still watch, since poods is the most subscribed person people who obesses over fnaf got really butt hurt over it which is really a low thing to do since it wasn't for really scary.
We grew up with felix so when we were cringe he was and as we became less cringe he did and that’s why we liked his content even though in hindsight it may look cringey

kenzie morgan exactly. I started watching pewds when I was a young teenager (maybe 13/14) and his humour was perfect for me at the time - he soon became my fave youtuber. When I got to about 17 I started to grow out of him a bit and stopped watching almost completely for a while. Eventually I checked out his new videos just out of interest and surprisingly found his humour had matured a lot and really started to enjoy watching him again. I'm 18 now and at uni and even though I'm quite busy nowadays I still check out many of his vids and enjoy almost all of them. I think this approach - as opposed to the normal youtube approach of never really evolving your content, just sticking to what gets you money/views, is really amazing for building subscriber-creator rapport and only really solidifies his fan base. It's a great move on his part as it really knits the community together as people have felt like they've grown up together with pewds and it gives the channel a much more personal feel, great to see. I guess pewds can kind of do anything he wants at this point creatively as I doubt he cares about money/views any more, and he's so powerful on youtube that he could afford to lose millions of subscribers by taking creative risks
He was exhausted of the media bashing him and calling him an anti-semi because of a few edgy jokes and RU-vid censoring the more mature stuff he was making and promoting a more family friendly side of RU-vid
He was depressed because of 2016 youtube and lies on the media.. If i'm not wrong he said things like killing himself but kinda hard to tell that was it serious or just a joke back then.. it seriously painful to see a man slowly going crazy video after video

I loved his videos back in 2012...because I was 12. I love his videos now because I'm 18 and he matches up with my sense of humour really well. He's so much more real, honest, and it feels like he's being himself. When I go back and watch his old videos I'm shocked at how overdone and fake they were and can't believe I used to like them so much. This is definitely my favourite Felix 👍

I actually used to HATE Pewdiepie when I was younger. I didn't dare go anywhere near his channel. But I'm not sure how I got sucked in, but I started watching in 2016, and I loved it. I love the new Pewds and how much he's grown over the years, his progress is amazing.

I completely agree, He's sarcastic and brutally honest which I find hilarious! He always has a silly comeback and each video makes me grin instead of cringe, which I did with some of his previous let's plays... Y'know?

When I was younger I loved his videos then I took a break and came back when he didn’t make as much gaming videos. I love his videos now and see how fake his old videos are (not all of them). I don’t miss his old videos because it seems like he wasn’t as happy and I definitely don’t want pewdiepie to be unhappy or faking his reactions.

same feeling. i sort of aged with him. the only thing i **do** miss is 2016 pewdiepie doing comedy sketches around the office and outdoors. BEASTMASTER 64 and "my new car" were genius. the new routine is still good, from LWIAY to pew news.

I like current pewds the best (~2018-2021). And he’s gonna keep changing and I’m excited to see what’s next. Complaining that you like someone’s old content, n that they should go back to their old style, is like complaining about a band or artist changing their sound on a new album; let creative people continue to be creative and do new things.
