What I do is: 1. Create characters (let their personality unfold during my writing) 2. Outline the beginning, middle, and ending. (To know where I'm going with the story) 3. Let my creativity flow and take notes of every chapter/scene. 4. Set a writing goal of 400 words each day. (All over 400 is a plus.) 5. Stick to one project and focus on what I want to tell people with the story I have chosen to write. 5. Go crazy about all RU-vid recommendations, what to do, and what not to do. 6. Have a coffee; remember, it's just guidelines, no rules. 7. I'm working my ass off to stick to my plan. Good luck 😂♥️ Great content!

I would have your vlogs playing in the background and we would basically write together (but not really haha). I honestly don't think I would have been able to get my book out there without you (as well as a few writertok compilations XD)
I cannot describe just HOW Much I understand you. I am also a person who doesn't handle criticism of my writing projects well. I take it very personally as I have a bit of a perfectionist problem 😅... It hurts more when it's your own story. The world, the characters, the circumstances, all of it is so personal and is a way of expression and trying to convey something to your readers. So, constructive criticism is a difficult one for me. I can't help but feel anxiety and personal failure. It hurts to hear that your creative ideas are wrong or "needs work." Especially when you're proud of it. I am also an intuitive writer. Half the time I'm surprised by what my characters are doing. I'm grateful for your videos. I've only just recently found your channel and I can see we share a lot or the same habits that other writers I've stumbled upon either don't have or don't talk about. It's nice knowing I'm not alone in this struggle. Appreciate you!

I'm also a kind of Pantser writer. Sometime I tried to plot, but you know... when plotting, I don't have any ideas... and when I write, a lot of ideas flooded out of my brain... My notes is only for world-building and characters, nothing for plotting 😅😅
Omg I thought i was the only one who overwrites for school assignments and underwrites for my personal projects haha! Sometimes i feel like there's so much i want to write about i end up not getting anything down at all 😅

I just started writing today after a roughly 6 year break. The words just spilled out and I created the main characters, drafted the first two chapters, finished planning what the story is really about, wrote the first sentence and all that😊. And now my laptop charger won’t work 😢.
I’m also terrible at taking constructive criticism. My biggest problem is motivation, because my first project only has four chapters, and they’re all kinda short. My newest one has two chapters that I think are good, but since I don’t have a laptop or computer of my own, I have to type everything on my phone 😭😭😭
Hot take, but I think pantsing the first draft is more than fine :) you rethink the story, plan it and organize plot points in future drafts as you do revisions and later edit.
I had to learn the hard way that I am a pantser. When I try to plot I would make the book not the same book as I originally idolized it to be and wouldn’t want to write it anymore because I would have to strip down the outline to see where I went left. Today before seeing these videos pop up I decided to just write my fantasy book because outlining it was holding me back. I roughly know the ending of book one of the series so I’m just going to write.

I’m just starting my novel too here is the idea (Don’t steal please) Elbverath School For Magic - Upon each new semester year, new students (Who Are Just Starting Their Magical Journey) are enrolled at Elbverath School For Magic. Each new student will have different powers but some the same for example, teleportation, elemental powers (Earth, Fire, Water and Earth) and Wicca wizards and witches (Wand Magic) and will be with their Founding Families (Those With The Same Powers) for the remaining of the year. Until this year when an unlikely student from a family they thought they would never hear from again shows up and everything changes. Things get bad. Drama escalates within students, professors, and families altogether. It is exceedingly rare for people to have been born with all the powers when people can only have one power. They will be love, betrayal, friendships, and war.
I started my first draft, got to almost 70 pages, and then realized the story needed to be in first person. So i restarted. Now, i want to fix the beginning of the story, and add in a new plot point because the story was too stagnant I've begun plotting the prequel while writing the original story I have a desktop computer instead of a laptop, so I don't write a lot because I don't want my family to look over my shoulder and see the word vomit. During school I use my school laptop and copy it over to my personal account
