This is the information I was looking for! I have a 5 roll bracket. I already have the white and gray and was looking for other color options. I asked a FB photography page and all I got was condescending replies. RU-vid is still the best place to get information. This was helpful. Thank you.
I'm glad you were able to get the information you are looking for through my video. And even though this video was put out in 2017 the backdrop system is holding up well and works as good as it did the day I put it up. I really can't ask any more of the system because it has performed flawlessly and takes care of all of my needs. I can very much understand your frustration with Facebook. I don't use the platform myself and I call it face drama for a reason LOL. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch my video and I'm glad it was able to help you.
Thanks brother, I always thought the system would be more expensive. But at $49.99 you can't go wrong. You can get different lengths in your paper size when ordering. I think you can get 53 inch, 80 something inches, and then the 107 inches which is what I have. And I think they have even longer sizes. Of course the longer the length the more expensive. But the support system itself is very inexpensive. Thanks for watching brother.
I have always had a very expensive green screen set up but the problem I found with it was once it was up I could never get it out of the way to use the blank wall behind me. With this set up I can get the backdrop out of the way when not in use. And with there being 12 yards of paper on each role if the bottom edge gets damaged I can just cut it off. And when you figure the roller system is only $50 and the roles of paper and the link that I have them are only 50+ dollars it's a win-win situation. Thanks for watching my friend.
Thanks brother, we are definitely all set up and ready to go. And being able to change out the backdrop gives a few possibilities for sure. Thanks for watching my friend.
Thank you very much my friend. It is a nice system and has a lot of possibilities for sure. What I like about the company is they offer alot of colors and so far the product has been delivered way before the expected delivery date. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother, I am loving the new studio and workspace. It seems that I am being a lot more productive by having this dedicated space. Thanks for watching my friend.
I presume you purchased the paper rolls on amazon also. I am actually putting together a new studio also so I have been taking notes on what you have done. Thank you for all of the information.
Yes sir brother, here is the link to the paper backdrops: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GF6544/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For every role that I ordered it always arrived quicker than the delivery date. A very good company to deal with and the product is exceptional. One of the main reasons I like it so much is the wall mount fixtures fit right inside the cardboard role so you don't have to change anything to install. Are you going to document your studio as you put it together. I'm sure it will be interesting to watch for sure. I hope this helps my friend and as always thanks for watching.
It would definitely make a nice series if you documented it and then posted it on RU-vid. It's always cool to see what other people are doing with studio makeovers or builds.
The crimson background is very vibrant for sure. And the great thing about it you can always change it out for a different color. Thanks for watching my friend.
These backdrops offer a wad of different possibilities for filming. And it's a good way to change things up and not have the same old static background all the time. And the great thing about them is if they get dirty or damaged you pull it down cut it off and you have a fresh backdrop. Thanks for watching my friend.
Thanks brother, I'm glad you like the set up. It definitely makes the workflow go a lot smoother and setup and breakdown is effortless. Thanks for watching brother.
Thanks brother I'm glad you enjoyed it. And I had lost track of your channel for some reason I had to go back and click that bell. Thanks for watching.
Those backdrops are so convenient. Just think they even make a size that will fit in your little shed studio. Add some lighting and you're good to go. Thanks for watching brother.
Yes sir brother, just like your name says it's real quick :-) and the system is simple to use and retracts right out of the way. Thanks for watching my friend.
How do you get the paper to wrap around the aluminum pole? Of are you just using paper role with cardboard?? Because the pole i got is same size as the cardboard. Inside my paper I am not sue what to do next Would be highly appreciated if you could give me some info on this topic thanks
I am just using the cardboard tube because my backdrop system came with end caps that fit snugly inside the tube to hold it securely. I hope this helps and as always thanks for watching.
Thanks brother, these paper backdrops are very high quality. I had read some reviews that said the chromakey green did not do a good job but as you can see mine did a fantastic job. And I'm glad you liked my walking dead T-shirt. Thanks for watching brother.
That's a great system. Nice to see the Smokey gray arrived. The only thing that would worry me is that they are made of paper and how long they might last with wear.
Thanks brother, and I'm glad you brought up the wear and tear of the paper backdrops. The role was 107" x 12 yards. This way if a part of the backdrop becomes damaged or just wore out you can cut it off and pull out fresh new backdrop. And that only $58 a roll it makes it very inexpensive to replace. If you put of a traditional cloth dream screen and it becomes soiled or damaged you have to replace the entire thing at a more expensive cost and without the same versatility. Thanks for watching brother.
WOW! So cool!!! Thanks for sharing! I sure I could’ve seen this when it was still $49.99! Inflation has it at $64.99 in 2019 lol, but I’m still interested! Thanks for sharing the link!
The rolls of paper backdrop that I purchased came with a heavy cardboard tube that has held up quite well. So no support needed for these rolls. I hope this answers your question and I appreciate you stopping by and watching.
And a lot hard work it was my friend. But you're right it definitely paid off. I find that I'm a lot more productive in this workspace for sure. Thanks for watching my friend.
The ones I bought had a sturdy cardboard tube that attaches to the amount so there is no PVC pipe needed. Some of the cheaper backdrops have a very flimsy tube that will support their own weight. Not the case with this backdrop. Very high quality paper and cardboard tube. Thanks for watching and I hope this answers your question.
Somebody said they used a 2 inch pipe and taped the ends to the pipe and rewrapped the paper around the pipe. and it works well. i look forward to trying that
Hello, on the ends of the rollers there are two knobs. one large and one small. By tightening or loosening the smaller knob you can adjust the tension on the roller so it will not just roll out too much. I hope this helps with your issue and I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Thanks brother it is a pretty clever system and does not take up a lot of space. A lot better than having my old green screen that was always in the way. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother, it was a lot of hard work and there is a whole complete series on the demolition and rebuild of the RU-vid studio. I believe there's five videos in all. Thanks for watching.
It is definitely a nice set up and when you figure the wall mount system is only $50 and the roles can be purchased for about $58 apiece with a span of 107" x 12 yards it gives you a lot of paper for use. Thanks for watching brother.
You could use the other colors that way but they are just to change my background color when I'm doing a talking head type video. This way it just puts a different color behind me when I'm talking about something. Thanks for watching brother.
Great video.... I am getting tired of having to move each roll up and down on the wall as needed... quick question, Do you have trouble with the paper going sideways when rolling up?
Brother, this is awesome!!!!! I would love to have a studio like this. I like that you can change the background during a video, making it a bit of diversity and change in the video. This rocks!!!
Thanks brother, I am glad you like it. I have been wanting a studio of my own for a couple of years now and I thought I had the perfect set up when I converted half of my shop into my studio. But it turned out to be more work that it was worth. I would have to carry all my gear out to my shop set everything and shoot my video then tear everything down and put everything away. It got to be so arduous that it almost made me not want to shoot a video LOL. Now I get up in the mornings and come into the studio and start watching all the videos I need to watch for the day and replying to comments on my videos. That I can shoot whatever segment needs to be shot in the studio and the workflow is very smooth and efficient. Thanks for watching my friend.
I understand about studios not working out, I thought I had an inside setup, then my daughter and grandson moved back in, so I adapted..then one of my sons moved back in....there went all inside options LOL I am glad you got this set up, that set up in your garage did sound like it would soon become burdensome. Congrats!!!!!
Thanks brother, I am glad you like it. It definitely gives a lot of possibilities for different backgrounds in the studio. Thanks for watching brother.
What would have been really useful was to see the system in action. A video is the opportunity to see something move, in action. All you did was showing the finished product without using it, just like photos on Amazon.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention and when I do my video on how well the system has held up and if I still like it or not I will definitely take your comment into consideration and show the system in action. This will give me the opportunity to show what I like and dislike about the system. Thanks for taking the time to watch and getting a constructive comment.
I find these backdrops to be very durable and well worth the money. This video was put out over three years ago and they are still working just fine. Thanks for watching my friend.
It is definitely a more convenient set up that having my old green screen just hanging on the wall with no way to move it. And I bet you could have some really nice backgrounds for your silver for sure. Thanks for watching brother.
The backdrops definitely work very well. I'm glad you like jail my friend and I really appreciate you subscribing. I've also checked out your channel and subscribed.
If you just adjust the tensioner on the role you can roll out as much as you need and then retracted so no need to cut it. But if you really want to cut it you can. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother, it is a very nice system and at an affordable price. And it will give me the ability to change up my background so things don't become static. Thanks for watching brother.
If you don't have studs where you are installing, it makes more sense to cut yourself a header board, and screw that into your studs, then screw the brackets into your header board. Just a hot tip.
Nice! I'm going to set up mine today. Are you using any additional tubing in your rolls or just the cardboard the rolls come in? also do you fine the clamps on the end of the paper help with rolling the paper up?
Jared Spink I just use the cardboard tubes that are inside the paper roll. And the clamps are great for keeping the paper from curling up on the ends when in use. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
thats really cool love the setup, 50 bucks is a deal did you say that was paper back drops? where did you get those from and are they expensive? thanks for sharing love the studio
Thanks brother, the backdrop system is very inexpensive at $50 for sure. you can find the paper backdrops here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GF6544/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for what you get I don't think the price is too bad. And you can get different sizes so you don't have to buy the 107." x 36'. They also come in 53" x 36' and some other sizes in between. Thanks for watching my friends.
Looks amazing, Bud!! I want to do something like this but my lighting isnt optimal so I'm worried it wont look as good as yours.. this is the best :) nice work!
Well brother stay tuned because by the end of the week I will be doing a tutorial on some inexpensive lights that could help you with that issue. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing this. I love it. Eventually you'll need to do a tutorial on editing out the background using the chromakey. You've got to learn me up. 😉
Thanks brother, it is a very nice system for sure. And at some point I will do a tutorial on editing and using chromakey. So I will definitely learn you up my friend LOL. Thanks for watching brother.
@@massachusettsprepper If you do, I'd recommend upping the choke slightly since I could see the key bounced on the edge of your person. Couple that with a slight color adjustment targeting the chroma and it should look golden.
Thanks Terry, it is a very slick system indeed. when it only takes a few seconds to change a background you're more apt to do it. Thanks for watching brother.
Thank you very much brother, I always appreciate the full view and a big thumbs up. And I always return the favor for sure :-) I plan on sharing more on the studio as time goes on. People have asked about different parts of it and how I use it. Thanks for watching my friend.
