Fact: Mya went independent around 2007 after her label leaked her album. Instead of suing her label for leaking her album, she decided to release several multiple project independently during that time and she still is today. She’s a force to be reckoned with. One of her albums she released independently, Smoove Jones and T.K.O. (The Knock Out) are my favorites. Her songs Team You, Damage, You Got Me and You Got Me, Part II are my jams as well. Mya is really slept on and is multi-talented. She’s a songwriter, producer, dancer, actress and she mixes and master her own records which is amazing. She’s does it all and you should listen to all of her projects.
This video reminded me how good of a dancer Mya is. I really like this song. I feel both Mya and Jadakiss are underrated so it was nice seeing them together on this.
