I visited Burma a few years ago as a tourist. I agree, it's a beautiful country with welcoming people. Peace and prosperity to Myanmar people! ✌

Confusingly we just call ourselves Myanmar(s) (or just Myanmar people for the full phrase). Burmese is still fine but it might be rude to call it to other ethnic groups in Myanmar who are not Bamars (the majority ethnic group). Calling Myanmar, Burma should be okay though. Also thanks for your concern. We hope things improve too 😢

@@sharpvolt2669 Yea that's why I said might. Most people I know that are not Bamars are definitely cool with it but a few expressed that they don't like that expression since they are not bamars. I just didn't want to unknowingly promote just in case it offends some people.

think what China wants is stability of its southern border without refugees flooding in like what happened in EU, and to protect the planned port for crude in Kyaukpyu, under the agreement signed with the Aungsan gov.

Some of them are fake news. But Myanmar people hate China. So, they don't think that those news are real or not. They just believe it's true.

Please read the last paragraph in which it says BBC interviewed her and released an interview report (video maybe) that was contradictory to her idea of there is no Chinese debt trap. She complained to BBC which immediately apologised and said it was a junior editor who made the mistake. Wow! Imagine what a senior editor can do. Writing sci-fi, I bet. Even Sri Lankan said there was no Chinese debt trap. The foreign debt of Sri Lanka in 2022 was something like 43% market borrowing, 13% Asian Development Bank, 10% China, 10% Japan, 7% IMF. Chinese debt only accounted for 10% of the total foreign debt. Why blame China? Can you explain it?

Those things are from Russia. Listen to the local news, would you? Even Myanmar people reporting about those things, they always say those things are from Russia. At first when the revolution started, they said weapons used by military is from China and Russia. But later (from that moment to this day), they don't even say those things are from China. They always say those weapons are from Russia. It can be seen that China stopped supporting weapons.

At Khit Thit Media(most viewed media in Myanmar) there are photos showing Chinese guys teaching Myanmar military how to use Chinese drones. And a lot of drones that is shot down by rebels are Made in china.

With the improved technology nowadays, such as AI, you can easily create a fake news (remember South Korea telegram cases and USA deepfakes cases). So, with all those AI and all, you can hardly differentiate which news are real and which are fakes. I'm not saying that all they say is fake. I'm saying that you have to look into that thing very deeply before you believe that news is real. Don't get fooled by those people staying in the middle stir up people and make people hate certain people.
