4:27, this is Burmese pancakes called (Bein Mont) and it was my absolute favourite as a child living in Yangon. There are 2 versions, the red one being more sweet and the white one being more light as it has chickpeas. I loved the white one while my mother favoured the red one. Watching this is making me miss my home country! There were delicious food the moment you step outside

See the satisfaction on their faces? They may not be earning thousands but what they are doing is purely an honest means of livelihood. No work-place competitions and back stabbings or getting huge monthly salaries but still unhappy with life. These humble street hawkers are the symbol of true simplicity. Love and cheers from singapore. 💐
Hearing them talking feels like I can immitate their language.. maybe I can be fluent in Burmese if I study it.. 💜💛🧡 i wish for the situation there to be good again ~ from your lovely neighbor Philippines

The most courageous country Myanmar peoples who I have ever seen. diversity is a weak point and at the same time a powerful strong point . they have a great potential ability to develop economic progress. Myanmar will overcome brutal coup killing field in the end.

It's the thanaka. It is a paste made from ground bark. The wood of several trees are used to produce thanaka cream. These trees grow abundantly in central Myanmar. It is a distinctive feature of the culture of Myanmar, seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls. It is a natural cosmetics for skin. Apart from cosmetic beauty, thanaka also gives a cooling sensation and provides protection from sunburn. It is believed to help remove acne and promote smooth skin. It is also an anti-fungal.The active ingredients of thanaka are coumarin and marmesin.

The movies are very amazing and beautifully made as the one that presents us the movies! I wanted to ask see people who apply something on the face what is it and for what ceremonial or other reason thanks in advance for the answer
The stuff we apply on our face is call ‘thanakha’, it’s paste made from ground bark. It actually helps our skin keep cool since the weather in Myanmar is usually hot. There’s no special reason or occasion needed in order to wear tanakha, some people wear it everyday. It basically almost like a form of makeup here! It’s also a very big part of our Burmese culture ☺️ ( hope this answer your question and sorry in case there’s some grammar mistake, english isn’t my first language )
@@thu1310 The first thing is thank you from the bottom of my heart because I am learning about the peoples of the Far East and it is very interesting to me and there are many questions but hope in the future to get beautiful answers like this. As for English so it's not my language I work with translation so I understand it well because it's not easy to work in a language not really yours
