Western Gents United I know it's crazy how good these malls are! Air cons on full blast mean they are the best way to get out of the heat too. They often have the best cinemas too
It's 'Life n Death' to them. 'Survival' you know. Also, they're new and fresh. Wait till they're aged. You won't see a difference. It's just 'life on this 'Planet'.
That mall is for the tourists and super rich people. e.g. my family never buy from such expansive shops and I belong to middle class. The majority *poor people simply can't afford. I don't know whether those business can break even.
When I first starting visiting Myanmar there was no way to get mobile phone and email services and there were no chain stores at all Fast forward 10 years and the 4G is much faster than Thailand's! In last last 18 months or so a couple of these malls have appeared in Yangon Thanks for watching mate
Looking good man, do most people speak English over there then? Only us lazy Brits who don't seem to want to learn second languages (having said that I'm learning Mexican Espanol)
This is totally out of step with the masses of Myanmar (Burmese) people who live simple and basic lives. Very few customers patronize these large supermarkets. Most Burmese cannot afford to shop at these locations. They avoid it like the plague.
