Punk Save the Queen | Documentary | filmed in 2018
Burmese punk band aims at the liberalization of young aspiring musicians inside the oppressed country and rebuilding the peace between ethnic minorities. Though slowly, the artists were surely gaining more freedom step by step.
*In February 2021, the Myanmar military (Tatmadaw) has seized power. The coup has brought out a backslide to the authoritarian regime where Darko and other artists had to be silence in the 1990s. As we publish this film, we believe in the energy that people have towards freedom and remind them of the country's resilience towards democracy.

民族紛争が絶えず起こるミャンマーで、人々は分断され、マイノリティの権利はない。そんな中、音楽を通じて人々を繋げようとするパンクミュージシャンたちがいた。ゆっくりと、しかし確実に自由を手にしている実感が、アーティストたちにはあった。
*2020年2月、ミャンマーの軍部はクーデターを起こし、総選挙で選ばれたNLDのアウンサンスーチー氏を逮捕。ダルコや他のアーティストがかつて苦しめられた独裁体制へと、急速に逆戻りしています。この映像を公開するにあたり、この国の人々がもつ自由への渇望と、民主化への弾力性を伝えたいです。
