I’m just now finding this video. Thank you. I’m 56 seronegative generalized. It took 6 years for my diagnosis. My symptoms are bad and only getting worse. My respiratory tract has become very weak. It’s affecting my voice, very visible labored breathing most of the time. I had my thymus removed almost 1 1/2 years ago. I’ve gotten considerably worse. I’m not sure I’ll live long enough to see the three year improvement mark. Prednisone, Mestinon aren’t helping me anymore. Ivig was terrible for me. I am on Imuran. My Neuro is looking at a different med right now. I don’t know what to do next. Can you recommend anything? I’m not wanting to give up but I may not have a choice anymore. Thank you.

How do you distinguish between an autoimmune disease like Ocular Myasthenia Gravis (MG), and a motor/muscle problem stemming from a stroke or other issue with the Rostral/Midbrain? Cranial Nerve 3 (CN III) Palsy - PCOMA? Thyroid-Eye-Disease? For example, testing positive for antibodies (AChR, MuSK, etc) would seem like MG for sure, yet the symptoms are exactly the same as it would be for InterNuclear Ophthalmoparesis / Ophthalmoplegia... ptosis and diplopia.. Exotropia / esotropia strabismus ? I'm in early 50s, and about a year ago, my right eye would not move past the centerpoint... however over the course of a few months, full motion came back. Unfortunately, now my eyelid(s) feel heavy, and I have double vision, where my right eye is slow and lags behind my left. I've tested positive for MG antibodies (AChR). So if no hyperplasia, a thymectomy will not improve or cause OCULAR MG (AChR positive) to go into remission.. or prevent general MG? But if left totally untreated (no medication) does this increase the chance that OCULAR MG will spread?

Good morning! Conquer MG does not have medical professionals on staff. These are excellent questions to discuss with your neurologist.
