I'm from Poland. In my country, mushroom hunt is probably the most popular family activity in October. We love to look for mushrooms in a forest, it's so much fun. We often use them in our dishes.

Born in Canada, my parents are Polish immigrants. We also hunt mushrooms, but my parents only know the species from the old country. I took it upon myself to learn the mushrooms where I live, so that we can continue the tradition.

Today I learned Paxilius involutus actually exists in Maine. I've never once made an observation of it in the wild before, but I guess I'm just unlucky!
