I like the way you mixed the film by combining clips of his doctors discussing what they think Michael is like and clips of what he his really like you captured the original tone perfectly.
@blinky500. The way Sartain explains it. I think it went like this. Being stabbed in the gut with his own knife and shot 6 times by Loomis combined with falling off the balcony weakened Michael to the point where he collapsed from his injuries somewhere and Loomis found him and was about to kill him before Hawkins stopped him, arrested Michael and had him sent back to Smith's Grove.
I can't stand it when you watch a film and nothing happens for ages, go straight to the kill the watchers are hooked quickly + like bobo 2019 said it's one hell of a shock cheers
Amazing short. Really captures how much of an evil force Michael Myers is. Also the opening with Michael getting up despite being shot six times, just awesome. :)
Best acting I've seen in a fan film. The conversation was very believable and the kills too. The technical side was excellent too. Same feel as the original.
The Smith's Grove doctors were idiots who thought Michael really was catatonic when he was just pretending to be to get them to let their guards down so he could escape. Only Loomis knew what was really going on.
Im so head over heels on the editing on this one. this is how you reinvent the slasher movie people have seen so many times. Its less about a creative kill, more about making the kills count and memorable.
4:22..pure Halloween goodness! Great lighting here! Loved the cutting back and forth between the creepy murder scenes and the doctor's talking, both of which were equally riveting in my eyes.
You brought back a lost art that we need to see in Horror movies again and that is making a death scene longer. Prolonging it. Nowadays we only get a 10 second death scene if we’re lucky.
Thanks. Yeah I definitely wanted to make these deaths as painful to watch as possible. Quick deaths do not let us care for the victim. We view them as canon fodder. Dragging it out however makes you stop and go "oh..... that looks painful."
Are you kidding me right now? This was superb! An absolute subtle brutality! Starts as a gust of wind and quickly becomes a maelstrom! Exemplary, from script to players. Kudos!
It’s absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to see more. I love your whole Myers series. If you guys ever needed another music producer. I’d love to work with guys ^_^
The original master of the Myers fan film returns! Really loved this, some great lighting and a very eerie portrayal of The Shape. I also commend you for following up the new timeline as opposed to the others, and for really putting in the effort to capture the 1978 atmosphere in the Myers portions of the short. Great work, and a nice addition to your other other HalloweeN fan films!
Thank you. I thought about whether or not to stick with the original timeline, and there are just soooooo many fan films set in that era, and regardless of whether or not I like/prefer it, I just felt it was best to let it go and give this new timeline a shot.
Really good and I liked the cutting back and forth between the doctors debating whether Myers was dangerous and him murdering the couple. Open ending with the trick or treat girl was good as well. I know you said the short takes place between the original and the last one. But my favorite order goes Halloween then Halloween 2. So in my mind Myers has just gotten off the lawn, regained his bearings, and killed before getting to the house we see in Halloween 2.
Your fan films are always of top quality, it's amazing that you don't have more subscribers than you do, subscribers you definitely deserve. Keep up the great work man!
That mask is on of the best ones I’ve ever seen. If u guys could just turn the eyebrows white with paint than I think that u guys could make perfect, flawless skits. I think that y’all did better than some Hollywood movies. Keep up the amazing work.
blinky500 ohhh than even better. U guys are perfect and I think that u guys could even make a Hollywood movie and get some heck of reviews. If u guys made a reboot u would make rob zombies look worse than they already are. 😂
I remember watching your Halloween: Season Fan Film back when it was released on here, just seeing you do something like that AGIAN, man I simply can’t express this in 1 comment (and I can speak for the most of us) how nostalgic and awesome this fan film is, and agian, Ya Killed It!
Nick Castle who played masked Michael in the original did the breathing sounds for him in the 2018 film with James Jude Courtney physically playing him.
@@admirosmanovic1368 nope. Not like it was in the original. For example the sound he makes while he's trying to choke annie in the car. He never made that grunting sound in any of the sequels.
@@admirosmanovic1368 No.. I'm not talking about general breathing and grunting. I am talking like how he did it in the first movie. Watch the scene where he is trying to kill Annie again. You're missing the entire point. You're the one that is wrong. He has NEVER sounded like that in ANY of the sequels. Hurrr Hurrr Hurrrrr. That sound effect. Watch the Annie car scene again. Or the scene where he tries to strangle Laurie and she removes the mask. Or when Loomis goes around the corner before he shoots him and they are face to face "Hurrr. Hurr. Hurrr"
Absolutely fantastic!! You get what the character of Michael Myers is more so than even filmmakers who have made some of the Halloween movies. Incredible job, this was a joy to watch!
When I saw the trailer for this and it had the scenes with the doctors at Smith's Grove, I thought it was just going to be a re-tread of the first Halloween movie. Thankfully that is not the case, and this fan film allows us to see how scary Michael can be when he's not chained down by the Laurie Strode story arc. I also enjoyed the kills, you could feel the agony of the first guy being stabbed in the chest. Nice work Blinky, keep 'em coming :)
Thank you. I definitely DID NOT want to re-tread any of the first film, however, I did want to expand upon how nobody saw this coming, except for Loomis.
You did it again blinky. This was fantastic. This shows real skill and passion in film making, especially when there are films with 10 times hell maybe 50 times the budget that are inferior to your films.
@@blinky500 its well deserved. Being a huge horror and slasher fan who binges these movies i can truthfully say that no one else captures the suspense and emotion from the killers like your crew does. Other fan films ive seen especially with silent killers such as jason or michael have them jump in and kill out of nowhere or have them do actions comepletely out of character but you guys focus on the stalkings, the planning of their next victims and treat their actions loyally to how they usually act with your own flare and creativity at times sprinkled in which adds to the entertainment. Top notch acting here too, very realistic imo. Its people like you that i highly respect for i have a hobby for writing scripts especially horror but you take it to the next level by actually making everything after its all down on paper. I applaud you and your actors and crew for your dedication and skills.
oo i say how exciting, its almost 4:30am,i was about to sleep then stumble across this,so sat back up,smoke rolled, coffee poured, can of cider open, and travel back to 1978 and see what happened after he fell from the balcony
8 Years, and you came back with this and let me tell ya, this was well worth that long wait, Ive never anticipated a fan film before in the way I’ve anticipated this fan film!! Ya Killed It My Guy, Ya Killed It! 🎃🔪
This was a pretty good fan film. I really liked it. Especially when Myers just walks into a random house down the street and kill the occupants. That's one of the things I really loved about Halloween (2018), when Michael silently stalks through the neighborhood and just starts killing random residents, left and right. I loved that whole scene, and I wish we could have gotten more scenes like it throughout the film. I believe it really showcases Michael as, like, a predator, or rather, as an animal. There's no rhyme or reason, no motive or conscience, he just kills, anyone, anywhere, and at anytime. For all we know, killing may be the only thing he knows how to do. (That, and doing the most badass sit-ups ever.) Anyway, great little fan film, dude. It's nice to know that people are still making Halloween fan films, even when it's not October. Just goes to show how much love for this franchise fans have, and how strong the fandom is.
Good one . like this film as well. Like the doctors talking about Michael then back to the present with his stalking and killing. Good scenes. Good set up. Well done. Shape on!!!! God bless.
Dope!!! I like how it didn’t show what happened with the trick or treater, gave me chills just thinking if he harmed her or not. Great work nonetheless!!! 👏🏼
Andrew Peters That’s true, 2018 btw was in my opinion the second best Halloween movie, 1978 original being the first obviously aha, but I think he harms the kids who act as a danger to him, at least that’s what I heard
let’s hope you get a lot of recognition for this cause you deserve all you subs you want cause you work so hard man. btw great work💪 supporting you till the end!👍🏻
This is freaking amazing i loved this it was so worth the wait the only thing i wish is that there was some backstory on why micheal was in the streets and that it was a bit longer but other than that this was amazing. take a bow mr blinky
blinky500 makes sense the scene where Michael is slowing stabbing the guy omg great scene man the lighting on the mask and the intensity in Myers eyes as they struggle over the knife
very beautiful fan film,, I love Michael Myers in this,, Halloween's coming again,, please make more Michael Myers fan films for 2020, I'm a huge fan of Michael Myers, great job on these. :)
I love you Chris you do amazing videos on the Halloween series and this one is another EPIC ONE! Well done man and I am assuming there will be multiple parts to this one? Two BIG thumbs up!
One the best fan made Halloween spin-offs I’ve seen. However, and this is just my personal gripe, referring to Michael as “The Shape” in the credits would have been better
