Our guest for the last episode of osmosis season 1, DJ Fresh Thato Sikwana has a chat with Vusi Thembekwayo, CEO of MyGrowthFund. DJ fresh is one of the most influential and respected muso's in the South African music industry.
Dear MyGrowthfund team, Please also have interviews with successful female entrepreneurs! There is NEED for female representation! Our young girls need to know that they can change the world too! Please do something about this! Otherwise I'm enjoying these episodes! -From a Zimbabwean Australian :)
I am so grateful for this interview. I just now realized that I had up until watching this, been thinking of DJ-ing as a thing that one does in transition to another thing that's gonna lead them to the greatness that they are seeking. My partner is a DJ and I even wrote to him how this video has allowed me to enter a layer deeper into his vision for his life. As a result, I wrote the most powerful prayer to God for him yet, and I'm certain that today is going to be a turning point in our lives. Thank you so much Vusi and DJ Fresh. This here, is a legacy moment 🎉🙌
That's what we call BOTHO/ UBUNTU ... Basics of HUMANITY. I was impressed he said something along those lines at 14:48. The are lessons that can be ok learned from home & transferred in a work experiences. I like his analogy on helping someone else's light shine & shinning yours, both will brighten the place more. Thank you for touching this issue on owning multiple cars just for show off.
Thank you Vusi. This message just gave me a lot of affirmation to believing that when you have a plan your actions need to also be in line with the plan. Dj Fresh is full of wisdom and is such a humble person😇
I'm humbled by Dj Fresh's humility, honesty and brevity. I've always appreciated his respect for listeners and callers on radio. From the days I used to listen to him on the Fresh Drive on 5Fm (the best radio show ever!), his level of respect and decency has always stood out for me. He is the antithesis to some young, arrogant and entitled celebrities who allow the 30 seconds of fame get to their heads.
I am so inspired by this interview with Fresh. I like the part where he says' treat people like they belong and that will amplify they experience exponentially ...DEEP . Much respect for you Fresh..
Dj Fresh. What an inspiration. He has been in the industry for quite some time and he never lost his enthusiasm. He respects his craft.Big ups to Oskito for advising Fresh not to waste money on cars
What i really appreciate about this conversation, is that VT is genuinely learning also from The Big Dawg. As the saying goes, ‘ufund’ uzufe’. Thank you so much MyGrowthFund SA, thank you black men.
Great interview. Constructive criticism: the background music does not need to be there, no shade though because it was a great interview overall. Check channels like Lewis Howes or Marie Forleo for an example
4 years later as a final year student about to sign my first big contract and looking for wise financial advise......I randomly find this video!!!!!❤🎉🎉🎉😊 This is everything I needed, took so many notes and definitely coming back to watch again! What wise black men these 2 are👏 And you can tell Thato Smells amaaaaazing 😊😅like this comment let's keep each other updated on how we are "APPLYING" this knowledge🎤
Just downloaded this video to watch it over and over again. There's too many life and business lessons for me to absorb and I do not think that a single helping will do, I need a dose of this content as frequently as I can possibly get it, Great job guys! We need more of this inspiration as we continue to try and overcome our own challenges in business, it helps to know that people like DJ FRESH went through losses, lol. My take away: PATIENCE=LONGEVITY!
... VT thank you for bringing someone in my field; music; I have been longing for this to be addressed under the umbrella of entrepreneurship. Thank you MyGrowthFund ...
That was actually one of the better ones - fresh is a conversationalist and it shows during the interview. Most of the white people on these shows sound as if their answers are rehearsed and to a point do not sound genuine. Also think that the reason for the change is because of the fresh perspectives on an industry not a lot of people know about. Anyway that is my 2 cents... Looking forward to the next season if there is one.
Can somebody please get a billboard company to play this video all over this country and in malls and in parking lots and at garages and at hospitals and clinics and schools. I no there's NO money but it MUST BE DONE.
... I haven't watched this episode till it ends but man oh man I'm inspired and I'm going to share this on my Fb profile for me friends to experience what experienced ...
Thanks Vusi and Fresh for this inspirational Interview. As black people we need to stop living beyond our means and start investing in the long term future of our children.
There it is, the difference that DJ Fresh exudes. I commute during His show on Metro FM and I am of the view that it pushes all boundaries of just being an entertaining radio show it is surely becoming an institution of learning through the vehicle of entertainment.
Best interview ever. I related to so much of what @DjFresh was saying. From the family business that was driven into the ground, the North star tekkies, the playing gigs for free, starting working at a young age and the mindset of running your own race. The poverty mindset is an evil thing. From having nothing and just surviving to having money to spend is what keeps our young people behind. I didn't ant this interview to end as it resonated so much with me. Much respect to Vusi and Thato.
I refuse to believe the 2 dislikes are from haters. It's probably people who were sad this interview went by so quickly. Much appreciation to Vusi le Fresh for all the pearls of wisdom shared.
But Fresh though. The humility ma guy,the authenticity like mxim I really appreciate him. So kind,so knowledgeable and no big head for sh❗t. Shuuuuu Future hubby better have these qualities shem. 😍 Ubuntu personified❗❗
Put systems in your business so you can monitor everything in one place on backend. Make your employees feel part of your business. Thanks my mentor Vusi. From Mombasa island Kenya
