Tbh I'm a bit worried about things today, but this mix is really helping lift me a little. Thanks Myon, Anjuna and all the artists for transporting me back to a time when I was discovering all these tracks (around summer 2006). Much better times before cynicsm, life problems and Covid kicked in. Sigh.
SADISTICK... the absolute banger no one seems to remember. That drop at 3:16 slaps harder than anything I've heard in a while... And Fallen Tides too! I feel the Mat Zo Remix of it got more attention than it deserved... the original has a warm beauty that remains unmatched. So many other classics I adore here: Time Goes By, Gravity, Made Of Sun... I'm surprised Myon dropped such a loaded mix! Love it!
I fucking love Myon. This mix feels like a natural progression. Watching Myon's streams during "true quarantine" (April - July 2020) gave me hope for music. His passion to create and mix is still very alive and well. Anatomy of a Megamix is forever cemented in my mind as one of the greatest mixes of all time. I will also say that Above & Beyond's instagram post on Myon's efforts was extremely heartfelt and genuine. Part of why they run such a well-oiled label to me, is because A&B just have very strong emotional intelligence first and foremost. Thanks to Anjunabeats for supporting artists old, new, and inspired all the same.
