It is cool for us right now, but might feel good to you coming from Canada! Friday, it is supposed to warm up some before cooling off again. We hope you have a great trip!
Carmen I always enjoy your videos. Very nice and informative. I've been coming to the myrtle beach area since 1961 with my parents. We now stay in garden city beach with my kids and grandkids
Subscribed..and enjoy your vids so much. Live in Ohio, and have visited MB every summer for 28yrs. Will be back the 1st week of June. Staying at Breakers this time, but have stayed at alot of different places. Do you know if they are fixing the Cherry Grove Pier yet.. ? Cant't believe i didnt know about the tunnel.. going to check that out this time.
I think they are in the process of fixing the Cherry Grove pier and it was due to re-open in May but of course that date could change. I’ve heard rumors the tunnel is closed now, but I can’t say for sure. Welcome to the channel!
We have not stayed at either in Myrtle Beach since we're locals. However we are a fan of Marriott in general just because they are somewhat consistent.
Staying here for the first time in Myrtle Beach right now at Island Vista, and must say it is a very impressive city. One question I have, when walking south from Island Vista, around the 5720 N. Ocean Blvd area, I notice a lot of walkways to the beach are listed as private property, but there's no building, just the path to the beach. How is that private property if there is nothing there? Thanks!
That land is privately owned. I think it used to belong to houses or condos across the street. But now I think some of it is owned by places that aren’t near the beach. It’s basically their own private beach access.
Thanks for sharing the boardwalk. First time coming to Myrtle beach. What hotel would you recommend for first time walking distance to some attractions. I been thinking about Homewood suites oceanfront.
We have stayed at the Marriott residence. Inn oceanfront and a long time ago at the Hampton Inn oceanfront resort. There are definitely a lot to choose from. We recommend TripAdvisor is a good starting point for reviews.
Just don't stay at any that are on the south end, The new Hilton is awesome, when we vacationed here we stayed at the Anderson House, great hotel and staff.
I guess it depends on your mobility, but in my opinion, it definitely is. The entire boardwalk is only 1.2 miles. And this video only shows about half of that.
I do live here. I’m not saying it’s in the North part of Myrtle. As I say in the video, I’m showing the North half of the boardwalk. Helps to watch the video.
