If only you guys could go back in time and see just how Myrtle beach rallies were. At one time as large a Daytons when the whole beach was a rally. It started coming into the beach on US501, vendors would be everywhere. The MB race track would have flat track racing. Murrells Inlet back then was a little part of the rally. I stretched the entire grand strand almost 60 miles. North Myrtle had vendors everywhere all the way to North Carolina. Harley-Davidson put on a show at the MB convention center with all the new stuff with bike shows, test rides the whole thing. Them came black bike week with their jungle crowd and destroyed Myrtle beach proper. Walking out of restaurants without paying, robbing stores and half naked hooch mamas showing every thing but the butt hole. MB then closed the rally in the city limits and down it went from there. Harley-Davidson pulled out and what you have now is trashy rally in Murrells Inlet.
My memories go back to the 80's until today. During the period between 1985 and 2000 were the large rallies and tons of thing s to do. Very sad what has happened to Myrtle Beach because of demographics. Not even the same place. @@Thesimplehomeowner
