A short drive into forest after driving up hill we reached this mysterious places called Hebbetta in a village called Basavanahalli, Mandya district Karnataka. The climate was very hot and humid before reaching place but as we climbed up the hill the weather turned to be very chilling surprisingly the weather will be cool throughout the year.
All the villages around this hill have to visit this place before starting any festivals in their villages this is the practice from ages. The villagers cut bamboo trees from this hill and carry it on shoulder to their villages to perform so strange rituals.
Another strange ritual I heard here is the people will not burry dead bodies on the hill and the women during menstrual has to stay out of village during their monthly period. This is being followed from ages says the priest of the temple.
