1967 Robert Salas' Oscar Flight event isn't the only missile field UAP encounter. See Sgt. Mario Woods 1977 Ellsworth AFB Minuteman III N05 Launch Facility encounter with a similar orange hovering object. He and his fellow airman experienced missing time, physical effects, abduction or unconscious driving and USAF coverup.
I was shooting pool about months ago in Socorro NM, with the regulars, got introduced around to everyone, I met Lonnie Zamora's buddy and coworker on the police force, back when Lonnie reported the UFO, I asked him if he knew Lonnie well and was he the kind of guy that would make something like that up, he said he knew him very well and he absolutely wasn't the kind of guy that would make up a story, he said he believed Lonnie and so did his other friends on the force, I had always wanted to be able to talk to someone who had first hand knowledge of something like this, and was lucky enough to have a chance meeting with a guy who is still alive and personally knew Lonnie Zamora, it felt pretty awesome. I also have some pics of a mural that was painted in Lonnie's honor, depicting the sighting, there in Socorro.
Very chill Glad you posted this. I always found Lonnie's account to be very credible and fascinating. Hope he had a great retirement, well away from the fuss of ufology, etc. He told his truth and no sense feeding the hordes of the curious for the rest of one's life. (Fwiw, I'm curious, too: I just believe in respecting folks.)
@@mortalclown3812Absolutely, I'm a firm believer in being respectful, especially to my elders, the situation was a good one, my brother-in-law had been playing pool with these guys for years, and I made sure that when I brought it up, I explained my reasons why, and if I was being intrusive, my apologies and would drop it, but it turned out to be a great conversation, and several of his friends, all gathered around in a tight circle to listen and comment on what Lonnie"s partner was saying, it was pretty awesome, if I would of caught the least bit of a hint that I was asking about something that was found to be the least bit offensive, I wouldn't of continued. And sadly Lonnie himself was hounded relentlessly, until his death. I did not even know of the incident while he was alive, and it's very disheartening that people will not leave people in peace when all they want is to be left alone.

And she told me she never told anybody ever about that. And she never asked any of the other girls about it. And none of the other girls asked her about it. That I was the only one to say anything. We never talked about it after that again.

The question around the nukes being deactivated is whether that was intentional by the object, or simply an effect of whatever electro-magnetic energy being emitted by the object that has shut down other electrical systems on fighter planes that approach these objects. If it's the former Salas thinks its testing in preparation to shut them down and prevent a nuclear war on the planet if it appears imminent between Russa & the USA. BTW I watched a documentary in which Russia had a similar incident, with the big difference the nukes were activated and getting ready to launch. The Russians didn't know what was going on either and when the object flew away the launch countdown was aborted on its own. Very strange.

It’s hard to believe out of all these stories of military base/UFOs encounters no one ever squeezes the trigger on these things. I’m not saying they should, I’m just saying they are either very well disciplined or we just aren’t hearing the stories where they do fire on these things.
me and my mother saw one in 1973 200 ft over our back yard, i was thinking it would land and had thoughts of-love, peace- come here- let me see you.. at one point i thought i could hit it with a rock it was so close then my mind went to my 22 rifle behind our back door. i ran to get it but oddly it was not there. when i went back out it decided to slowly float away. i always felt they knew my thoughts and i messed up thinking bad things, but now i am glad they didnt take me and put me on a table and do stuff to me. god knows what would have happened if the gun was there, i was only 12.
There actually are stories where the military opened fire. Search for the Korean war case of 1951, near Chorwon. A soldier fired off AP rounds at the whatever it was, and it responded in kind.
Why would a highly advanced Alien aircraft not be able to cover it's bright lights to remain unseen - instead it's like they're saying " Look at me " - makes no sense .
thats like the one hovered over me and my mom in 1973 in NW indiana. 6-7 pm right in our back yard , it slowly came and slowly left at the same low altitude and not one neighbor or anyone seemed to see it. i was 12.

Awesome story and report, but this is not the biggest UFO/UAP reported. The “Phoenix Lights” report from the 90’s was seen seen by literally THOUSANDS of witnesses and most reported the craft around 2 miles in diameter!!! Crazy!!!
@@nicholasnoriega1205 The flares and the planes flying in a V-shaped formation were blown out of proportion in the media as if aliens had flown hundreds of light years to turn on landing lights over the city. And then what, they flew away? lol
@@607i I thought they were flares too but I seen a bunch of military guys say conflicting things. Some said flares some said no way they were flares. Also there was so many eye witnesses reports stating that it travled overhead and it blocked out the stars. Ocams razor suggests it probably was flares though.
I love these stories, but I wish there were more attention to details. Those uniforms are horrendous and Salas appears to have a flight cap from the French or something. Super distracting.
I'm having trouble with this one. I find it hard to believe the government to be talking freely about a UFO event on such a large scale. They are usually about the least said, the better and plausible deniability.
@@nativechique7589 a lot more happened in the malstrom Montana af base incident. I think the paranormal scholar has a good version of it. If not just search it try to find the longest video cuz it’s a pretty extensive account.

Not at all... The appearance of UFOs near nuclear installations in the US, UK and Russia are a matter of public record - going back several decades. Mexico, Belgium, France and Chile also have bulging and very official files of UFOs. It is definitely an international phenomenon. And it goes back a lot further than YT lore.
