I like how the Ravenhearst series are more mature, most hogs are so family friendly. A lot of good mechanics, great puzzles, looking forward to this one! Gab's gotten me addicted to playing hogs, I bought so many at the steam sale last month, haven't played hogs in years but they've improved so much, better stories, better mechanics, better puzzles, been loving them.
I've had such a rough week I binge watched Gab's video to calm down. I didn't try watching hidden objects games before because I didn't think I would like them, but now I'm addicted lol. It's so cool to see Twitch's chat partecipating too!
That mini-game you had to play once you got the scheme of rolling the green vial thing to the dots is EXACTLY the same as a game we used to play on CoolMath in elementary school, all the way down to the background! The old one didn't used to have a green vial, though; I think it just looked like a brick😂
Bloxorz was a huge childhood memory for me back in primary school, literally the only coolmath game I played whenever I had access to the computer. You don't see that many games feature that type of puzzle these days sadly It managed to survive the death of flash so it's still playable on the website without the need for a flash player
Big time recommendation for Return to Ravenhearst. Even though you have already played these two sequels, it’s still worth playing. In my opinion, the older point-and-click HOGs are much better too. Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove is my all time favorite!
Return to ravenhurst is a weird one because the resolution is so off because of age. It opens in a tiny little window and can't be made any bigger, I don't know what software Gab uses but OBS really doesn't like capturing it because the screen is 3/4ths blank.
I once recommended a HOG in the comments and Gab replied and said she prefers not to play the old ones because of recording/technical issues with them :( Also Dire Grove was one of the first HOGs I played and I loved it!
I don't know if you will ever see this, but I would love to watch you play the Dark Parables hidden objects games. They are very similar to these but are based on fairytales going dark. My favorite was Rise of the Snow Queen. I hope you see this and know that I love your content ❤
I'm sad she didn't play the original ones first. Madam Fate was another game from the same Devs set in the same world. In fact, the Madam Fate case ended up being tied to Ravenhearst completely.
I feel similar because the story from the beginning is so good, but I understand why she might not want to play them, as the game development has definitely come a long way
Madame Fate was made by different devs. Madame Fate was developed and published by Big Fish while the games from this one onwards were developed by Eipix Games and only published by Big Fish.
I was so happy when I found out Gab has a complete playlist with only hidden object games 😀. Grew up with this type of games with the "Big City adventure" series at first 😊.
That's interesting that in the opening scene in the detective's car. You have a little thing hanging from your mirror which was a puzzle in the 2nd raven Hurst game.
OMG! They made a death note reference at that writing scene with the possessed husband! The famous scene where Light kills a lot of prison inmates and criminals in the first episode!!!
Mystery Case Files has so many awesome games, as a recommendation you should play Dire Grove, it's older but really good! I would also recommend Fates Carnival, it'll give you backstory to Madame Fate and her connection to Alistair Dalimar. 😊
unfortunately Dire Grove is the only MCF game that won't run on Windows 10 no matter what you do :(( I would love to see her play Fate's Carnival tho, it's one of my favs
I love this game, I bought from steam soon after I saw your video, I love to watch u play the mystery games, they are a great change of pace. Great job.
Hello Gab,👑🌹🌹👑 Just got on and now watching you play Mystery Case Files: Key to Ravenhearst and hope you are having a great Sunday and have a great week. until your next new video Thank You Gab.👑🌹🌹👑
I grew up playing quite a few of the big fish games HOG demos including this one but I never got the full story since I can't spend money on games so THIS was the most exciting thing to ever happen. Second to finding your channel
Just found out that you also play HOPA games, I love it. There's a Bonus Chapter in the Collector's Edition of the game, it's accessible through Extras from the Main Menu - it might make the Standard Edition ending feel less abrupt, lol. Worked on this game back in 2015, and the next 5-6 installments after this one. Very happy to see you play it. It brings back so many memories 🥳
The note you accidentily skipped at 2:17:27 says: My dear, I win again. Benedict's sneaky, cunning pest of a sister is no more! She visited the lighthouse, trying to find out what's happening to her poor, poor brother. Laughable - as if she could do anything to prevent Grandfather's master plan! I must confess... I greatly enjoyed the moment I pushed her. And that look in her eyes - ha! Priceless. anyhow, I'm ahead 6 to 4 now! Grandfather will be so proud of me - not you! Kisses! Gwendolyn
The funny thing is that i played the MCF from Eipix which is this one and the ravenhearst unlock, and at key to ravenhearst, i was wondering about Emma and Rose's fate, like where are they now?
I love that the detective just forgot the names of the twins he saved and that one is named Gwendolyn so a woman at Ravenhearst named Gwendolyn should set off red flags and you should be ready for twin shenanigans
The puzzle with the plane photo reminded me of an argument I made frequently once I was introduced to algebra. If letters were suppose to be used in math, the Roman Empire wouldn't have fallen.
I love it when games are like: "this is easy to remove". But it's still like: "you need a tool, ya bloody wanker." Damn, that was sick, tho. Detective: *yeets boomerang* Detective: get outta here! Oh, i thought we were gonna use the dental probe again for the raven's wings. I was like: "what're we gonna do? Pry it open?" But it was a feather. Imagine feeding each other jugs of wine. I want a dog tag like that. A tag with an eye in it. Tho, i, technically, already HAVE an eye necklace... It's not a dog tag with an eye. It's like a magic eye pendant. (I am heavily into witchcraft as I'm Wiccan.) Anyone remember Barker? Big ripperoni.
You should play Lost Lands. It's a Hidden Objects game by Big Fish as well, that has 9 games in total 8 main ones on PC and one on mobile. I think you'll love it! I hope you see this comment and play Lost Lands but I understand if you don't.
Ravenhearst unlocked does reveal the full truth behind the ravenhearst manor cursed, i wont reveal spoilers here but the real truth behind the charles madness was actually his mother! She the one cause charled madness in the first place!!
It's a real shame that Gabs is skipping so many games in the series because they don't say "Ravenhearst" in the title. It would be so nice if she could look up the order and play through the missing ones before the final Ravenhearst game.
I'm confused. If Charles's wife is the mother to gwendolyn and Charlotte then why do they call him grandfather? Also how are the twins alive? Weren't they ghosts in the last game?
Alister is Charles father and that’s who the girls are calling grandfather, not Charles who is their father. Also their mother wasn’t Emma (Charles “wife”) but rose her maid. Also the reason they are alive is Charles made a machine in escape from ravenhearst that brought Emma, rose and the girls back to life
@@Angelika5378 they unfortunately inherited their grandfather and fathers madness which is why they turned evil, it only started to manifest in them as the grew older. As to the time skip, there are more games between escape from ravenhearst and the keys to Ravenhearst that all link in to the main story, all the MCF link together, so whilst you as the detective are off doing other cases, the girls grew older and as they did the same madness their farther had grew with them and they went back to ravenhearst to rebuild it and bring back their grandfather
@@Angelika5378 you’re welcome, my mum is a massive mystery case files fan which is how I got in to them. If you are interested you can Google “mystery case files in order” and it will give you all the games in the series and order in which they are to be played
I really like the style and gameplay of this game but dang it turned the Ravenhearst story into an utter mess. The twins here are the same twins (Gwendolin and Charlotte Somerset) from the earlier Ravenhearst games that were kidnapped, tortured, murdered, had their souls enslaved by Charles Dalimar, and were resurrected by the Master Detective and freed to lives as normal 9-year-old girls in 2012 with their mother Rose Somerset and Emma Ravenhearst by the end of Escape From Ravenhearst. Then we come to THIS game which takes place 3 years later in 2015 but the girls are somehow now in their 30's, they claim Charles is their father instead of just their abductor (which makes no sense in the timeline considering Charles was in an asylum until he was 21 and the girls were already 7 or 8 when he abducted them and their mother a year or so later), and are suddenly evil and willing to torture, enslave, and murder for the same family that did the SAME THING to them. Oh and they apparently hate the Master Detective, now?! (-‸ლ)
I love the MCF series. Too bad you're playing them in the opposite order. This one makes so much more sense if you've played 1 and 2. The second game, Return to Ravenhearst is similar in gameplay. The first one has only HOS and puzzles.
While I will always love the MCF series as a childhood favorite, its kinda sad how the series kept going on past this point, no more live actors or special moments, but instead feeling just as generic as any other HOG
It's a bingo / sort of a fun checklist where applying to HOGS and the Nancy drew games certain 'typical' and common things happen that one could per say cross off from their bingo! Such as picking up a crowbar as an example or using oil to oil something In the game, that's typical and often on the bingo!😭😹 it's quite a hoot
Hello gab smolders, greetings from Indonesia, Jakarta, I'm subscribe watching it dreadout and pamali, can I request games come from indonesia again, games pulang insanity, pulang is go home insanity i don't know
